Regardless of your clearly ignorant opinion, it remains the longest running soap opera on the planet.

I didn't dispute that, I merely indicated that it is due to the Brits bad taste and as such deserves no special recognition.

A subjective judgement I doubt millions of Brits would agree with. Tell me, have you ever actually watched it?

In as much as this is a British soap which has never had zany exposure in this country I will have to agree with the others. It may have an extremely long life in england but everybody knows their hunmopr and popular fads surpass understanding to the rest of the world. So a record of this sort, in the English homeland, is more indictative of the Brits tolerance for strange stuff than the quality of the program.

The only soap opera I ever followed was Gunsmoke, first on the radio and then on television. Of course that was more horse opera than soap opera. Which reminds me, I misspoke it was two of these programs because I also watched the program called "Soap".

Soap was a very funny 'soap'.

Never saw an episode, never been in England. Haven't seen many US soaps either, not my interest.

When I was a kid, we only got one TV channel reliably. We got a second one most of the time and a third occasionally. My mom hated soap operas. Usually the TV wasn't even turned on until the news.

Ditto. I still have a TV (you never know, right?) but it hasn't been switched on in years. If I switched it on and it had some problem, I wouldn't go out of my way to replace it. Come to think of it, the TV's an analog system and the signals being transmitted nowadays are all digital so it's obsolete anyway. I guess I could still watch videos with it...

the world itself and all the fully conscious humans(although there's only 56 of us fully aware of it) make up the longest running
soap opera that has never not begun; this Divine Play, with the Director sitting in the front row seat enjoying our playing out His eternal script.
