His hiding is only temporary.
The Grim Reaper is hot on his heels. He will be joining ZBig and David soon enough.

I'm surprised those same people are alive.

It was what, the 40's or 50's when tobacco commercials stopped claiming the health benefits of tobacco? If they were adults in charge of major companies then, they'd be about what, 110 years old now?
.
And yet the same people are the ones claiming GWA alarmists are wrong?

Can you name between 5-10 of these people?

Dave, you are super. What a clever use of arithmetic to cast doubt on my original statement. At first I wondered if you had even read:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merchants_of_Doubt
But then when you asked for "between 5-10 of these people [tobacco apologists and AGW deniers]", I thought, "He must have read the Wikipedia article, because at first glance it only lists three or maybe four names". Well you miscounted. The article also lists: The Heritage Foundation, Competitive Enterprise Institute, and George C. Marshall Institute (who are also people, according to SCOTUS).

Sadly, some of these people are no longer with us; the George C. Marshall Institute left this coil in 2015.

An interesting bit in:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_C._Marshall_Institute

Matthew B. Crawford was appointed executive director of GMI in September 2001. He left the GMI after 5 months, saying that the institute was "fonder of some facts than others". He contended a conflict of interest existed in the funding of the institute. In Shop Class as Soulcraft, he stated about the Institute:
“...the trappings of scholarship were used to put a scientific cover on positions arrived at otherwise. These positions served various interests, ideological or material. For example, part of my job consisted of making arguments about global warming that just happened to coincide with the positions taken by the oil companies that funded the think tank.”

I wonder just what drives these people [tobacco apologists and AGW deniers]. I don't think they are evil. I don't think that it's just money (emphasis on "just" [and not in the "fair" sense]). I think their major motivator is concern for government regulation. I share their concern (I mean, do we really need all these "Speed Limit" signs). The question is: how much and what kind of regulation is needed in a desirable society.

IOW - The same people did not make the same arguments as you said, but some groups that made one argument has argued on different topics.

No, I didn't read the Wikopedia article. I just knew you were wrong when I read your silly accusation.

The fact is that GW is a hoax, and "The Same People" that have been proven wrong in the past (Al Gore is my favorite, but we both know there's a bunch more) Are making the same stupid arguments today.

Do you remember Al Gore's 10 year Countdown to Doom? It was sometime in the 80's when that clock ran out. We're still here, and Al Gore has reportedly made 100s of $Millions (since you're concerned about money..)
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/430380/al-gore-doomsday-clock-expires-climate-change-fanatics-wrong-again

Do you remember John Kerry telling us it was settled science (no discussion or dissent allowed) that the Polar Ice Caps would be gone in 5 years? The clock ran out on that a few years ago, and the ice caps have grown in size since then.

Yes, it is true that the planet has gotten much warmer since the Ice Age ended. But mankind is as powerful against Earth as a flea on an elephant's ass against the elephant.

Sometime when you can, fly on an airplane and notice how puny mankind is. Humble yourself and you'll stop being a slave to the Propaganda Du-Jour.

There are several countries that had their currencies raided by Soros. How would they like to get their hands on him?
It would be nice if someone delivered him to one of them. They could take turns trying him.

Wow, George Soros uses his vast wealth to promote his agenda and values! Who would have thunk it. Sounds kinda like the Koch brothers.

An interesting bit, the video showed a letter from Hillary Rodham (not yet Clinton) to Saul Alinsky, in which she inadvertently reveals her evil plan, where she wonders "...if the commitment to a free and open society is ever going to mean more than eloquence and frustration."

Oh, he's hiding, alright.

All the wealthy democrat/progressives who adhere to the Hitler/Stalin dream of domination live secluded, gated, armed protection 24/7.

That Clinton mob is a classic example. Hillary surrounds herself with armed guards while lecturing us that we do not need firearms to protect our lives and the lives of our loved ones.

Those democrat/progressives are more worthy and their lives are more precious than the lives of the low-life common folk according to their philosophy.

Soros is just one of them. He's precious.

Well the article did list three specific individuals who argued against tobacco hazards and AGW, but since you asked for 5-10, I flippantly supplied those incorporated groups, who as a group argued against tobacco hazards and AGW. So I feel confident that my original statement is not too off base.

Dave also wrote:

Dave, I think you need to recheck your talking points. The new talking point: GW is happening but it is not caused by human activity, so there is nothing we can do to stop it.

I think you overestimate my concern for money. I wrote, "I don't think that it's just money...". I wrote this to indicate my disagreement with those who say the arguments are all money driven. Some people do seem to be driven only by money. You can often recognize them by their names, which place them in their clans: Inc., Ltd., Co., etc.

John Kerry said the polar caps would be melted in 5 years? If he said that he needs to get a new oracle. Could you give a reference.

As for, "a flea on an elephant's ass", woe the elephant if that flea's bite carries a deadly contagion. I think Homo Sapiens may be the most invasive species to ever exist on Earth. We have sent many other species into extinction and many others near. We may have even created the means to our own extinction.

I don't need to fly in an airplane to feel puny, a clear night sky is sufficient. As for being a slave to the propaganda of the day, I try to be a slave only to my values, primarily of which is information. Looking at:
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/propaganda
1. information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.

Instead of "Bad Bob" I think I would call him "Cad Bob." (Cad: - A person who deliberately ignores another person's feelings)

I think that appellation (Cad), might be applied to us all at times.

Correction. I thought you knew what I meant. My mistake. "MMGW" is a hoax. I heard about the end of the Ice Age. It was in all the papers. SUVs didn't cause it.

https://climatechangedispatch.com/flashback-2009-john-kerry-s-epic-fail-on-an-ice-free-arctic-by-2015/

In 2009, Kerry told the Senate, “You have sea ice which is melting at a rate that the Arctic Ocean now increasingly is exposed. In five years, scientists predict we will have the first ice free Arctic summer.”

We checked with Santa Claus, the Arctic hasn't been Ice Free since well before GWA nuts evolved from a really gullible and stupid breed of monkey.
