Hello, being as I Am new here, I would like to run something by the board.
if it were not so expensive to run for office I think I would like to try.( try being key word).
it would be a totally refreshing idea IF someone ran that actually listened to what WE THE PEOPLE wanted.
instead of just being told what We want to hear, I mean really get down to the level of a " normal" regular citizen
that stays in touch with reality and is grounded.just for amusement sake let's say I ran. : )
1. bring God back into this country.
2.try to end special interests and lobbying of any kind.
3. put term limits on the house and the senate. like was done to the presidency.
4. run on a FOR US ticket meaning doing the will of the people NOT any and every one else.
( a true fan of listening to what our country wants and needs). and it isn't a War.
5. Not totally obliterating any system that works,in short if something is wrong either fix it or use it as a springboard
to improve it to make it better.
6.NOT claim to know everything better than Anyone else,i.e. if someone has a good idea work on it no matter whose
idea it was or where it came from.A Good idea is a Good idea Period.
7. always be open and transparent along with keeping an open mind. if there is a better way for something explore it.
we spend a fortune on unwanted and unneeded so called projects? c'mon now.
and last but certainly not least attempt to get back to what our founding fathers had in mind for The United States of America.
which would be moving forward in a prosperity mode not the current credit one we are now in that can only end
in a Debt Jubilee?
there is no way as it stands this country can pay off what is owed since the fed has been printing cash out of thin air
with nothing to back it up!
all this to avoid civil unrest more than we already have, short of an all out revolution ( surely no one wants).
There I've said my piece - bring on the comments it should prove interesting.

may I beg to differ? he has not tried the first one even let alone the rest.a Muse that brings us to the edge of extinction?

not even touching on what has been done to both children and women.his pal Jeffery Epstein is on record for what they both did as well as the woman he hired( to get minors) for their " parties " sorry but it's a hard pill to swallow.
little wonder there is reason to dislike the man, many do sadly.this is Not a game show.cannot stand HRC either.
how he has Mercer backing him is another topic altogether. have a good night I intend to.

You're new here so I won't try to hit you to hard. We have discussed a lot of those issues over time and there are valid point is there. But I would like to bring up one comment you made that just has to be commented on.

"his pal Jeffery Epstein is on record for what they both did as well as the woman he hired (to get minors) for their "parties." Sorry but it's a hard pill to swallow. >>> For years now I have heard about Bill Clinton and over fifteen trips to Epsteins private island where supposedly there were large orgies with underage girls. Hilliary Clinton also supposedly went there. These are on air craft manifests. Bill Clinton also supposedly ditched his Secret Service to attend. I think that if you bring up Epstein, you really need to start with Bill Clinton. Just saying.

Meanwhile, welcome to OPP.

Your #1 on the list just made Ronald Reagan roll over in his grave, according to him,"church and state are and must remain separate."

Welcome to OPP, I am sure your topic will draw many comments. I think that President Trump is listening to "we the people" and doing the very best he can do with the opposition he faces.

The quote is out of context, as usual.

Here are his words:

"We in the United States, above all, must remember that lesson, for we were founded as a nation of openness to people of all beliefs. And so we must remain. Our very unity has been strengthened by our pluralism. We establish no religion in this country, we command no worship, we mandate no belief, nor will we ever. Church and state are, and must remain, separate. All are free to believe or not believe, all are free to practice a faith or not, and those who believe are free, and should be free, to speak of and act on their belief.

At the same time that our Constitution prohibits state establishment of religion, it protects the free exercise of all religions. And walking this fine line requires government to be strictly neutral. And government should not make it more difficult for Christians, Jews, Muslims, or other believing people to practice their faith. And that’s why, when the Connecticut Supreme Court struck down a statute — and you may not have heard about this; it was a statute protecting employees who observed the Sabbath. Well, our administration is now urging the United States Supreme Court to overturn the Connecticut Court decision. This is what I mean by freedom of religion, and that’s what we feel the Constitution intends.

Now you know the rest of the story.... Connecticut's decision was struck down and people regained their right to worship on the Sabbath. https://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/472/703

OK, since your learning is remedial at best, let me explain! Reagan once said "church and state must remain separate"! What he meant was "keep that nonsense out of public schools."

That isn't the part you're talking about. You aren't talking about what Reagan or Jefferson were talking about.

Even a goober knows that Reagan ain't the president.

So why dig the poor man up from his rest ?

And any goober knows that Trump ain't no devout Christian.

So don't expect him to be Mr goodie two shoes.

We hired Trump to do this.
