MDs ugh

About Doctors...You might well be onto something with your post about Alzheimer's. We have had a great increase in these cases in recent years.

Your feeling about "MDs ugh" makes me think you have had a bad experience.

I admit that I am probably prejudiced, but I can only partially agree with you on this one. In my experience, doctors of all kinds are doing the best they can in difficult professions. I would say that the vast majority are very caring, and generally honest people. There are, as in all professions good, bad and indifferent.

The biggest problem is the training they got and when they got it which locks them into certain mind sets and thought processes. That is why the school they attended and who mentored them is so important. And also realize that none of us really know how to actually "cure", which is of course what you patients want us to be able to do.

The doctor does his or her best, (and in my experience they really do) but can not really control what the patient does outside of the doctor's office, or what resources your body still has available to do the healing. For instance do you have to do things that worsen your condition as part of your work? Are you still young and vital? What kind of accidents or debilitating diseases have you experienced?

Yeah and I find it suspect that 40 years after virtually everyone was deemed to need cholesterol drugs we have an Alzheimer's epidemic. I lived with my grandma a good portion of my life and she has a lot of friends. Some of them would get forgetful but none that I know of went wackadoodle. I swear it's all the drugs being pushed on seniors.

I had elderly relatives who developed dementia and were on these drugs. Can't prove anything, but.

Do remember that vaccines, in partucular the flu vaccines have also been suspected of causing demenetia.

And if you read the lables on almost all the things you buy in the canned food sections of your groceries you will find a lot of chemicals that are also suspect.

My "MDs ugh" was to correct my previous post where it auto corrected to MSs.
I was complimenting the common sense of a retired doctor who posted.
