Day after day Right wing Trump supporter really enjoy dumping on Clinton and Obama about Russia purchasing 20% of US uranium. They have this perception that Russia mines Unranium and can do what ever they want.

Trump totally distorts that Russia owns 20% of Uranium reserve. What Trump does not tell you that this was a Toronto based company (URANIUM ONE) the deal required Canadian approval and Clearence by the Committee on Foreign investments.

So yes Russia owns roughly 20% of US uranium production. But it's wrong for Trump to give his Supporters the perception that this Uranium will end up in the hands of Iran or anybody else. The licenses is held by the US and approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the State Department Russia is not allow to exportfrom the Uranium One US facility. So any Uranium mined in the US by the Russians has to be sold within the US.

There were multiple levels that required approval for Uranium One sale. Canadian regulatory Commission, Committee On Foreign Investment, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and final step after all this State Department signed off on the deal. But each agency before it got to the State Department required many levels of approval. But the final approval was the State Department.

What's frustrating about Trump supporters they just believe Trump and right wing conspiracy theories about a Russian entity getting invovled with Uranium mining in the US. Uranium mining has many regulations, wether it's a US mine or a mining company owned by Russia. If Russia ever tried to sell that Uranium outside the US they could shut down that mine immediately and there license revoked. If there's any concern we have to be concerned with Trump signing EO that eliminate regulations on mining.

The Russians own many entities in the US and the US have expanded in Russia such as Phizer, Boeing has been there for years, Ford Motor company, Proctor and Gamble, Johnson and Johnson,PepsiCo, Cargil, Alcoa, GE, it's not unusual for Russia purchasing a US company.

So it was not unusual for Russia purchasing that mine because they are held to strict US regulations just like any other Foreign entity.

But Trump being a moron (AS PER REX TILLISON NOT ME) he loves scaring his base because he knows his base does not have the ability to reseach and lack basic common sense. Trump supporters love conspiracy theories.

You can't convince that guy of anything. He is such a partisan troll he never acknowledges malfeasance on his side of the aisle. For instance; Hillary was found guilty of mishandling classified information. Fact. Comey, decided not to bring charges. Fact. it wasn't Comey's job to bring charges or not to begin with. Fact. Comey found Hillary not criminally culpable because he says she had no intent to mishandle classified information. Fact. The statute dealing with this area of law specifically says intent is not needed to be in violation of said law. Fact. Many in the government have been accused and successfully prosecuted for violating the same statute Hillary violated and went to jail. Fact. Comey gave Hillary a pass and proved there is no equal justice under the law. Fact. Facts do not matter to lemmings like nest. Fact. Damn that's alot of facts.
