It is just great that this man pleases you so.

But stop for a moment an describe to me just what Trump has done & is doing for the betterment of this country?

So never mine that you are being short sighted & that the rest of the country is acting much on what little greatness the American people have left.
It is happening in spite of the messing up of things Trump is trying to do.
Most people have or want a job that lets them be a part of the whole.
Then they go to work each day carrying out the tasks needed to keep this Nation together.

A truer picture of what we have had to put up with from our leadership is on display to day in Washington.

It may well be that by surviving Trumps actions people will have more trust in sharing their views on how not to run this Nation.
From that may come the seeds of a better Nation than we have now.

What will come from the Trump Presidency will be that any one can be our President.
The only thing that matters is that our would be President truly listen to people & draw all people into being a part of the Whole.

For this truly can be done with little change in what & who we are.
What makes that difficult is some are only happy if they have it all.
The problem of having it all leaves some with little or nothing.

Some would be happy having a lot less that it all.

A Few really greedy people upset the whole & leave many just grabbing all they can get.
Stop for a moment an digest that & I think you could see what I have been trying to say. Well I say that if most can get their needs met they will control their wants & leave some thing for others.

What ever form it takes can be called what ever we wish.

A general war of words may only make things worse.

So first we list the items we wish to see from our Government.
This is where we put the usage of terminology of each issue in to a general understanding between each other. Then we discus & act on each issue. Putting it all together in proper legal terms.

What ever we call it is what ever we wish at that point.
The simplest term we wish is fine.

Beware that we need to find agreement on most issues well before any action to change is undertaken.

Let us just say we can & should be a part of the renewing Founding Fathers.

Not only do we have that Right I say it is our Obligation to the Future.

We did that, over the course of at least eleven years, and came up with the Constitution we have today. It even provides an Article to make changes. What would you suggest? You see, the problem is, citizens like Don. They read a document, most often just part of it, and bastardize the original meaning of the words used. Don throws out the word tranquility, like the government is supposed to provide its citizens tranquility. Surely you don't believe that...

You asked me a very direct and precise question. I would be the biggest hypocrite on OPP if I did not do my best to give you an answer because I constantly harp on the Liberals on OPP who when I dare to do what you did and ask them for a detailed explanation of whatever they just posted, I generally receive in reply a picture of some degraded character who is supposed to be me.

It is true that much of Trump's agenda has been blocked by both the Democrats and the utter incompetence of the Republican Party in the House, but mostly in the Senate. Where Trump has been able to act is in cutting red tape and eliminating burdensome regulations. http://www.gop.com/promise-kept-cutting-red-tape/

Now I realize that to you this is a negative because you seem to think that all regulation is good, but this is my best answer. The federal government never stops growing. It continues to swallow up more and more of the produce of our country. The bureaucratic Gods in Washington continue to exercise their tyranny over their fellow citizens. Lois Lerner never paid a price for her actions. Even politicians can be voted out. The Swamp bureaucrats are the problem.

My point is that by displacing Democrats in Congress the Rinos have at least prevented them from doing further harm. Worthless slugs are less harmful than jackasses like Pelosi and Schumer. I am as angry as anybody with their lack of progress in doing anything constructive.

You reminded me of something with this part of your post, SOW.

Americans of the period 1776-1787 firmly believed in the soundness of the accepted maxim that "government is like a fire: a dangerous servant and a fearful master;" that, to be useful, it must be strictly controlled for safety against its getting out of hand and doing great harm. Through the generations, the people have considered that this maxim expresses one of history's most profoundly important lessons for Free Man. This maxim is based upon the knowledge that, in last analysis, government is force and must be feared and controlled accordingly. The great fear in 1787-1788 of the new, central government under the proposed Constitution was evidenced by the fact that the State Ratifying Conventions proposed scores of amendments, designed chiefly to keep under more rigid control what they considered to be this potential monster of power so dangerous to their liberties: the central, or Federal, government.

People pick the type of rulers they want. In the period you mention Americans were definitely more libertarian. They did not demand much from their rulers. Now Americans want more and more goodies from Uncle Sam and elect the leaders who will give them freebies in exchange of their freedoms. The election of Trump was a momentary reversal of this trend.

The post Trump era should be interesting. Trump is a wrecking ball, a destroying Hurricane, a bull in a China shop. When he is done will America return to an Obama-Nanny State?

In total agreement with you. IMHO, I think yes, we will see a return to a nanny-state, using past elections as a barometer, we'll see the pendulum swing back, eventually. Though, with the Democratic Party of today collapsing like it is, with citizens seeing it happen in real time, I don't see that swing taking place for quite some time. It would be great to see the Republican Party continue to follow Trump's example of getting government out of the personal lives of the citizens, and downsizing the federal government's control. It would be especially nice to see universities mandating courses in civics, and Constitutional originalism as a requirement for graduation, but that's my own personal pipe dream. Though one school in Missouri (I think) is beginning to do just that.

Indeed, it will be interesting.

My point is that the RINOS are not Trump's allies.
They have joined the Democrats in blocking the conservative agenda. McCain and Flake for starters.

The economy is working well I agree but for just who & how many.

Using the word competition by the 3 braches of government is not the right word.
Checks & balances to me means cooperation in seeing that of any branch could be checked by any branch of government to see that any branch of government did not exceed it's delegated power or influence.

Glen Beck had some guy on who made some interesting predictions. I don't agree with them, but I do not rule them out. He says the Democrats will cease to exist. They are a shadow of themselves. The more interesting prediction was the slitting of the Republicans into a Conservative and a separate Progressive party. So I guess the Rinos will leave, maybe pick up a few not insane former Democrats and go find their own sandbox. Perhaps he is right. The only question I have is where the OWS, BLM, ACORN crazies will go to pick up their riot paychecks from the Liberal $ Billionaires ?

It is a big question. Can the two parties survive? The Democrats must do well in the midterms or they may really fold. I do not count them out yet. There is still too much money out there. Will the Rinos stampede and form their own separate herd. 2018 will answer a lot of questions.
