No that's not it... different people think differently ... I tend to think in very mechanical terms do to my education & field... It appears as a photographer you excel in more of the creative & imaginative aspects ... rendering & engineering are completely different fields of expertise... you make it look good... I make sure it floats & stays together ... I'm not trying to insult you here... both fields require skills... just very different ones... My wife is a commercial designer... she has incredible skills hand drawing incredibly fast from what clients verbally describe... She has mastered her trade while I'm still learning mine...

Having spent most of my life as a photographer, I've learned to see and analyze what I see. What makes me a decent writer is my ability to think clearly.
If you can't think clearly, you can't write clearly. If you claim to be an engineer but refuse to show proof that you really are, then you have no credibility.
