God, I hope not. The main problems with religion is that most people don't know the meaning of the being a true Christian I.e. living your life as if you are Jesus Christ. You all have met people in your life that wouldn't recognize Jesus if they met him face to face.
Religion already believes that they know all the answers so why ask any questions. The Catholic church was sure in the 1600s that the sun revolved around the Earth.
The old Testiment was written so long ago that we are trapped into morality that sanctions slavery, wife beating, and a God that enjoyed wiping life off the planet whenever the mood struck him.
Folks we have real problems right Earth now. We need solutions that look for the real truths

We need solutions that look for the real truths. Looking for guidance from institutions that have created a history or more problems than solutions is like hoping your daughter will find a husband at the local bar.

God, I hope not. The main problems with religion ... (show quote)

There is an Andy Warhol picture with Christ holding a revolver. People use religion to justify political ends. It depends on the religion. I asked whether God was relevant- not religion? I am glad you appreciate Christ though. Do you believe that God exists?
