Why didn't some of the massive center core get lucky?
The massive columns of the center core were cut cleanly.
It took the new cutting charges developed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories to cut heavy steel that cleanly.

Don't you understand that the experiment is only meant to show the ability of vertical columns to survive a massive weight dropped on them?
Chuck Boldwyn's math equation shows it would take 633 times the weight which fell on the lower floors of the North Tower to crush it to the ground.
My straw experiment backs up the results of his equation.
