As Lincoln said about Grant while the War was still on, "I can't spare this man. He fights." Yep, Grant was a drunk and not something that many people cared about but he surely tore the Confederates up on his way to Atlanta and from that period on. Lincoln had found one really sad commander of the Army of the Potomac who either lost or fought to a draw one time after another. Finally he finally put Grant in command of the army of the West and from that time on the Union won.
So, to my friends on the Left – and the #NeverTrumpers as well -- do I wish we lived in a time when our president could be “collegial” and “dignified” and “proper”? Of course I do. These aren’t those times. This is war. And it’s a war that the Left has been fighting without opposition for the past 50 years.
So, say anything you want about this president – I get it, he can be vulgar, he can be crude, he can be undignified at times. I don’t care. I can’t spare this man. He fights.

I posted a similar post a long way back. We have never Trumpers and Rinos and even some of those who used to be good are curiously silent, letting President Trump carry the ball himself. I think Lincoln also said that if he could find out what brand of whiskey Grant drank he would send a barrel of it to his other generals. Perhaps we should raise money to open twitter accounts for the Senate Rinos and tell them to do what Trump is doing.
