Just found a book in my library that I don't recall purchasing. I am looking for its monetary value. It's title is "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." It was published by Avenel Books. I'm sure that initially publishers did not note dates of publication, I guess because there were not that many re-issues. There is no date of publication anywhere in this particular book BUT on the back cover there is a very thick sticker measuring at least 3/4 of the size of the book. It contains an eagle holding a ribbon which states Army Reserve. It boasts a gold embossed title in a frame. Where do I look with the purpose of discovering its value? Any response will be appreciated.

Steve it seems the lady asked an innocent question bereft of any politics but you have to jump in with this commentary? Can you give it a rest and go to another topic?

I would assume if it has a sticker saying "Army Reserve" it probably belongs to a reserve library and therefor is not yours too sell.

Thanks. I'll try the library but it may have been purchased from the local library at one of their sales. Do you think that possibly they might have overlooked this particular book while preparing for the sale? It's a possibility as there is so much work to be done in preparation for sales. I do hope you are correct in that it might have been a first edition.

I'll check into that with the local library or, perhaps, take it to Texas Tech library. That might be the better idea. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Thank you. It does seem that some forum members are single track minded.

Are you so filled with hate that you are forced to change every topic to your shibboleths? You definitely need mental adjustment -- go find yourself a good shrink because you are wacky.

Do a search for rare book dealers on the internet. If there are any local you might start with those but in any event you can contact them by e-mail and send a description and photographs of what you have. If your book is rare you will definitely get a response.

Sure, it just seemed like a good opportunity to point out that liberalism is a mental disorder that results from acceptance of Marxist propaganda due to naivety, gullibility, arrogance, narcissism, immaturity, degeneracy, and never having been educated in conservative values and that most all the problems in this world are due to godlessness and leftism. (Don't be confused and equate Islam with belief in God. Their God is Satan, although few of them realize it)

No, it's not hate to want to help your fellow human being and No, it is you liberals who need a shrink, but they are not likely to help you because most of them are liberal and typically they don't get much worthwhile results. The book I suggested however will do a lot of good for anyone. The only problem is those who lack spiritual discernment (the evil and degenerate) hates him and reject everything he says since his approach is to bring self-awareness of the harm we all do to ourselves and each other through trying to be our own God and following the Satanist mantra "Do What Thou Wilt". (It is usually thought of as something good and called self empowerment) The more you think I take this stuff too seriously, the more lost you are and the more you need these books (in spite of the fact the process is painful)

Who knows, if you actually get your head straight you might actually come to Jesus in repentance and get yourself saved

Monomania is a mental disorder. We are not confused.
