Back in 1776 the American Colonists were divided into three camps. In the first camp were those who remained loyal to King George. In the second camp were those who straddled the fence and remained neutral. Today there are those among us who are willing to give up their liberty in exchange for some security, in the form of insurances and handouts for instance. Remember, “Those who would trade some of their liberties for a little security deserve neither.” – Benjamin Franklin.

These takers look to the government to provide them with everything they need. Whenever the government provides benefits to one, over another it must first take the property of the other. When Joe Shmoe takes something that doesn't belong to him, they call it a crime; when the government steals from another to provide for someone else, they call it charity.

Our Founding Fathers understood this concept and were willing to fight to prevent a repeat of the mistakes made in the Monarchy of old. Today the tyrants in Washington D.C. pick our pockets to enrich themselves, feed the poor and regulate the corporations to fund their re-election. As long as the people remain asleep, the politicians will continue this Socialist agenda; spending our money like drunken sailors.

America was once known as the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave". I am sorry to say we have become the land of the FREE lunch and the home of the tax slave. Unfortunately, almost 50% of the population is on one kind of assistance or another in America. We have become a Socialist Democratic Dictatorship.

As long as we keep re-electing these corrupt traitors, we will keep creating career politicians with tenure willing to rob us blind and keep us in the dark. These career politicians have been picking our collective pockets to buy votes from the dependent 50 % for decades. It is impossible for them to do this without first taking the property of the productive members of society. So remember, “Ye shall reap the harvest of the seeds ye have sown.”

In the Preamble to the Constitution one of the missions of our government is to promote the General Welfare not provide for it. The time has come for all of us to decide; are we Traitors, Cowards or Patriots?

You seem confused. You slam the government and the people who depend on it while romanticizing the American Revolution and the Constitution. But it was the American Revolution and more specifically, the Constitution that CREATED the government. Now I will admit that the government today isn't the government the founders conceived in 1789. For instance, the "Patriots" had no intention of sharing the benefits of their new government with blacks, women, or the working class. Only the wealthy class were represented, and to the devil with everyone else. The best way to describe the American Revolution in earnest is a power shift from one tyrannical group group in England to another tyrannical group in America. For the average working class American there was really no difference between the old boss and the new boss.

The difference we like to imagine exists between the old monarchy and the new republic was gradually developed over two centuries. For 99% of the American people, the true heroes were NOT the Son's of Liberty but the people in subsequent generations such as those who led the workers revolts, the abolitionists, the suffragettes, the civil rights activists... All of which had to fight the U.S. government for every inch of freedom and justice. Gradually, through this process, America became a progressive nation where liberty and justice is offered to more Americans not just the wealthy elite. Every step along the way the wealthy elite tried to stop this expansion of liberty to the common people it this struggle continues to this day.

So if you're calling the American Revolution a "fight for the people", then it really didn't happen until long after 1776 and it never actually involved a fight against a King. So it's actually very easy to answer your challenge... The patriots are the Americans standing up to the wealthy elite that control us (most of them call themselves liberals), the traitors are the people who sadly prefer to kiss the feet of the wealthy elite even if it means screwing the people under (most of them call themselves "conservatives") and the cowards are of course the chicken-shits that want the government to build walls to keep all the scary people out.

This is actually very similar to the assessment you made on the American population in 1776... The conservatives (Tories) were loyal to the king, the liberals (Whigs) were interested in liberating themselves from the king and the "cowards" as you called them, were most likely colonists that didn't get suckered into sacrificing their families for a new tyranny that offered them nothing.
