And it's just like I'm perplexed that former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was a devout Mormon, but on the other hand, believed in many facets contrary to the teachings of the LDS Church. Lived in SLC, married a Mormon, went to their Church every Sunday with my wife and kids, but never joined. So I'm somewhat familiar with their teachings.

No, I would not like for ANYONE to buy a gun. I am a NRA member and own several firearms. I believe in back ground checks so criminals can't legally own a gun. People with mental problems and stalkers should not be allowed them either. I am no liberal but nor a hard core conservative, but I believe any law abiding citizen should be able to own a gun and be able to carry it where ever they go. It would be nice and the smart thing if they had training but it shouldn't be required. I do not put all liberals in the same category. I actually love different opinions. What a dull world this would be without them.

I am a liberal because of the many experiences I have had in my life. I lived and worked on the southside of Chicago for 20 years I met many people who were poor they were working but they never had the advantages I had one growing up. I met several women who had abortions. I refuse to judge them for making a decision that seems like the best option the debt time of their life. I met people who didn't have the mental capacity to hold down a job and who needed to defend a government assistance. What I see now by the republicans in Congress is a willingness to take away all those helps that are needed by real people and instead give tax breaks to companies and corporations that are making millions and billions. I'm not sure what all those other believers believe in but I take as real the message that Jesus taught to love your neighbor as yourself
