Still...we have the best military in the world w/ the best equipment money can buy. Some of it is very expensive. All the worry warts are wringing their hands about this new Sukhoi fighter that can go 1 1/2 times the speed of sound. Really? What kind of tracking avionics does it have? You can fly faster than birdshit but if you can't knock your enemy out of the sky on the first pass when you're nearly 15 miles from them what the hell good is such an acft?
Do you honestly believe that in this dangerous world we have lived in since the end of WW II spending on our country's defense is a "waste?"

Ike warned us about this. Military industrial complex. We spend money on weapons, we need war to use weapons, peace is not good for business. Use those weapons, launch 70 million dollars worth of bombs, and the airport is up and running the next day. This is a game they are playing.

I assume you're referring to the military flying field in Syria. Did you ever take a good look at the hardened revetments where the Syrian AF parked their WMD-deliverable acft? There isn't any acft parked there after the raid while the interior is blackened from the fires started in them. Guess what started the kind of fires that would blacken like pitch the interior of the covered revetment/hangar? Besides, this was the tgt, not the damn runway or tarmac. Notice, as well, Assad hasn't delivered any more bio wpns on his own people. Ever ask why? Could it be he doesn't have many flyable acft in his inventory any longer...or better yet, he's scared shitless if he tries any more of his illegal attacks the US ( meaning Trump) will escalate US attacks?
