I think it's the whole welfare system in general, rewarded for the number of children they have, by food, housing, phones, cash etc.. The more they have the more they get..

The male dominance in the young is most likely because they do not have any true bonding with men other than sexual...As an adult or teenager even.. With a child they can control them to some degree and are afraid to let go because these young men are the ones they come to rely on...???

I think you are referring to the inordinate control young black mothers, especially single mothers, have over their boy children. It is due primarily to the excessive matriarchalism prevalent in black culture, predominant in Central Africa, and having been exported to America, with slavery. With the advent of welfare programs, and particularly ADC (Aid to Dependent Children, a Federal program), funds are released to young mothers only if there is no "father" living with the family. Thus, the "missing" and irresponsible black fathers, and reinforcement of the matriarchalism already extant in the culture. A black father, living with the family, can mitigate the consequences of martricarchalism to some extent.

Don't forget, lj, that is is normal and natural for teenagers to rebel against authority in the first place. If that wasn't true, change in a culture would come about very, very slowly. It is also natural for teenagers to form groups, as the need to separate from the family unit becomes predominant. That street gangs, that is, Bloods and Crips, are as violent as they are, is determined by the fact that single black mothers exercise an inordinate amount of control over their boys---the mothers do not discipline, they control. Single, and mostly single, black mothers do not know how to raise boy children. End of story.
