Are Easter bunnies and colored easter eggs in the Holy Bible?
I didn't know rabbits layed eggs.
Hmmmmm (:
Pagan fertility celebration? Hmmmm
I initially thought I'd try and explain that everyone knows rabbits don't lay eggs. I really wanted to acknowledge the lack of references to rabbits and eggs in the Holy Bible. I was going to point point out that the majority of Christians know of the pagan rituals Easter replaces. Basically, I was going to reply in kind. But after I hit the 'Quote/reply' button, it occurred to me that no matter what I do to try and keep a semblance of decorum and dignity on this day, someone was going to show up and shit all over it. So instead of going full retard and getting all indignant over this, I decided to just take the high road and say thanks for pointing all this out, Mr. Obvious. I'm sure there are many good, devout Christians whose lives have been positively enhanced by your pathetic attempt at poking fun at a solemn occasion.
I think I can speak for many of my compatriots when I say please, come in, sit down, join us. Your state of ignorance is acknowledged and understood. We will be pleased to provide you with the educational materials necessary to help you with that. Start at page 1, where it's headed 'Genesis'. "In the beginning, there was the Word", etc... I know it can be tedious, but it will be very helpful if you read it from front to back, all 807,361 words. Once you have read it for a while, I think you will agree it is truly a remarkable book, regardless of your religious beliefs.
I see from your member history that you have posted 5644 messages / replies and created 1 topic in 2.5 years. That suggests to me that you like to sit back and wait for others to post topics and then post a reply that totally disrupts the flow. Just like a sniper, sitting in the tree line waiting for an opportunity to strike. Well, congratulations, you just shot up the local church group on their way to give thanks on a very significant day. Now don't forget, follow up with a good, clean head shot to confirm the kill.
By the way, Easter is spelled with a capital 'E', and 'laid' has no 'y' or 'e' in it, but it does have an 'i'. This isn't rocket science. The Edit/Reply box has a built-in spellchecker. If you type a word and a red line appears underneath it, there's something wrong with it. Once you have cleared out the spelling issues, then hit 'Send'.
