Prayer doesn't have to be on your knees. It can be used in looking in the face of someone who needs care. Its in helping the young person learn scripture. It can be in handing bags if food to families in need. Trust me prayer is unceasing. I go about my day in constant prayer. Our world bombards us with issues that affect us and so my mode is always asking God to protect, or go before those going into battle for Christ. Prayer is a constant. Our leaders press me to pray because our lives are in peril of being subjected to anti-Christ attitudes. Israel is being treated as though it militant and we must pray for Gods protection and blessings on her. Prayer is obviously a walk.

I grew up non denominational. My parents had fathers who were preachers in foursquare and assembly of god churches. I can honestly say its helped me understand the most important factor in this Christian walk and that is, my personal relationship with him had no bearing on which house of god I chose to worship in. The name means nothing. The point of knowing if they're spiritually in tune is, does it line up with scripture. If it doesn't then dust off your feet and head on down the road. God has a body for all of us to practice our gifts and talents, but mainly worship and praise God. Church is a hospital for those in need. That's why serving in a good church hones our sk**ls to witness and pray with men and women who are seeking the Lord. Be prepared to step out and be Jesus to someone looking for a life changing experience. Pray for God to put you where you need to be.

Beautiful poem. Lord take our country into a new era of joy. Take and make us your instruments of peace to everyone who suffers and give us the bounty to serve others. We praise you always. Amen

Prayer split the waters of the Nile. It brought riches to Joseph after his brothers jealousy threw him in a pit. It saved Jonah from the belly of a whale. It caused a donkey to speak and it made Samson get back his strength to k**l the wicked house of the king. It caused Elijah to show his Gods power by lighting a thoroughly soaked alter. It caused water to turn to wine. It brought Lazarus from death after four stinky days. Its calmed storms on the waters of fishermen who had been trying to reach the shore. Jesus prayed in the garden as an example but he and the Father had already communicated that his death was planned before the world began. Jesus had a flesh side which we all relate to. No one wants to die. Prayer brought the holy spirit to indwell in us. Prayer is still used for miracles too many to mention. God is so wondrous to have given us his only son and yet he's alive forevermore. He is still performing wonders that can only come from his throne. Praise him for all he does each and everyday for us. I can't say Mohammed has anything like this to offer. Jesus even promises eternal life.

God turned away because he could not behold sin. Remember Jesus took all the sins of the world upon himself and until his resurrection God turned away. Then the power of the holy spirit came and the power of resurrection burst him out of the grave. Then a few days later he gave us the holy spirit as a helper to our conscientious and it provided a great help to understand the volume of Christ's love for mankind. It also gave us a language to worship him exclusively with knowledge of the message we spoke only to Gods ears or those who prophesize. Its a great gift and should be used often. It renews our minds to allow good works in us. I love him so. Three nails didn't even need to hold him. He laid down his life for us all. Hallelujah.

While the three days between Jesus' death and his resurrection he went into the pits of hell to save those there who would accept him. Upon his resurrection they came back to read it in matt and luke. Its part of why the power of Christ is so magnificent. Who wouldn't live and accept him? Hes all I need.

No nor a t*****r but a foreigner who can't allow our government to see his records because their sealed. What's he hiding? He couldn't pass a background check, but hes our POTUS. WOW. Who was out to lunch on that day. The requirements seem to have been overlooked. Every other president had to have the credentials why didn't he? Strange. We need to pray for the country and the men whom God would have in power. Its really the only way anything can get past all this garbage happening now. Power to the people of prayer. Mountains can move. Storms calmed and values restored.

I started in this forum to post positive views of our country. We need it back. Morally and objectively we are coming apart. To pull it back together again we need a conservative agenda to stop this socialist movement that bo so wants us to swallow. Not. America is worth more than rolling over and playing dead. I'm one of many who would love to see bo go down hard. That foreigner needs to be hung for high treason. The lies alone are so egregious that the congress should arrest him on his leading America into a second class country. Military and financially we are failing. He wants it that way so we all suffer. He and his cronies are immune. Why does Obamacare tax you if you don't buy in. It so they get your money one way or other. Its counter productive. Especially for those who can't afford the high cost of his plan. We were better off before. I hope if the senate goes repub it will be repealed. We also want the foreigner in our Whitehouse to have no power. Impeach him. If we don't the collapse of our dollar will allow him to declare marshal law. Lord forbid that happens. God bless America and may we pray for its return to sanity.

I'm not on welfare. I've retired after years of work and raising 4 kids while earning. I have no idea who you are talking about in this thread.

Mythological. Not hardly. The only president who knew how to steer this country to economical and militarily strength. He made us strong and prosperous with our government spending low and our stance with other countries rich. The world was better for his input and hard line against c*******m. We don't need c*******m's agenda spoonfed to us by a foreigner, who isn't an American.

Yes sir, we have to shut down these banks and tell those liberal socialists who are banking on us rolling over, sorry your money doesn't buy our freedom from your endless drivel of a progressive world. That's bunk, its all lies and deceit. The suit in our (not your) Whitehouse should be tried for high treason. Hes a sham. Seals his records and steals a social security card from a dead man. He's a shame to us Americans. Hes taking us down, and we are not going quietly. Hes a foreigner who should be ashamed of trying to push socialist thinking on us. His Muslim brotherhood and him should go back to Kenya or Iraq. I'm an American who lives my country but fears my government.

Where these people come from is across our borders. They want freebees. Obama promised they'd get it. We need to refuse to accept these i******s and send them home. God help us get our country back. We need to help our own before we help others. We can still help but make every effort to keep our citizens in first line for aid. I'm not selfish just sensible. God asks us to use wisdom. Lets insist on a government which allows our people to be able to make ends meet. Then give a hand to those in need who are interested in being a responsible worker in this country. Our own children and grandchildren should receive a free education. Not the other way around.

I grew up similar. My dad was a minister and a school teacher. He only used corporal punishment if the act of r*******n was bad bad bad. That meant bend over and take three seats from his belt. I don't think it was bad to be punished. I deserved a few more swats. I wish I'd had a few extra as I aged. Never leaving a mark on us, but always telling us that it hurt him to do it, but if he didn't we'd have a tough time in life. God expected him to correct us and help us be responsible in our actions. The sad t***h is todays children walk all over their parents and sass them with no consequences. Trust me, there will still be consequences for the kids and the parents. God wants our parenthood to be about loving by correction and allowing them to learn respect from discipline. I pray that the hearts of the fathers and mothers were sincerely for their children.
I am proud of how my parents trained me. I don't think ant of the discipline was too harsh. I needed more. They prayer with me and for me. That's huge. God gave me godly parents and I gave mt children the same teachings so that when they are old they will not depart from what they know. Christianity is valuable.

God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change and know the difference. We can however, pray pray pray. That power held armies from Israel. That power brought fire down on a soaked alter. That power brought fish into nets on a river. That power gave food to 10,000 or more out of five loaves and two fishes. That power made a woman's cruze of oil never fail because she trusted God. That power brought our savior from the grave as also his beloved friend Lazarus. Pray is power. When we v**e, pray for Gods hand to be in the outcome. I believe in miracles, so lets join together. If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways, and pray, then will I heal their land.
