Ben Carson was a most brilliant, highly respected neurosurgeon and an excellent speaker. I attended a keynote address he gave years ago. However, his foray into politics shows that a person can be brilliant in one field, at one time in his life, and yet be totally demented and irrational in another. At this point, this neurosurgeon needs to have his own brain examined as his political statements are ridiculous and deserve no serious consideration.

Ha, ha! This one made my day: "100 million" lost their insurance? Ha, ha! Jeeze, if you're going to bullsh*t statistics, you can't exaggerate to the drastic extent that even an eight year would know that the number is wildly bogus! Do you even have any idea how many people actually live in the U.S.? . . . still laughing!

I agree that some libs are reasonably intelligent, but I can't agree that they are reasonable. I say most are ignorant of what the real worlds of capitalism and free, private enterprise are like.
Ignorance is curable, stupidity is termunal.
Ronald Reagan proved that a flaming lib can be cured of his ignorance and can become wise. He was a flaming liberal in his youth.

Ha! You c*********d your argument by using a bad example. Reagan suffered from dementia. As we all recall, Nancy had to help him respond to questions.

Anybody with half a brain knows that Hungry Freaks is entirely correct. Fortunately, most of these irrational r****t Obama h**ers are old farts who will die soon and take their irrational immoral h**e to their grave with them. In the meantime, and fortunately, the relatively intelligent majority pays them no attention . . . they're all in an echo chamber and only hear and repeat one an others h**eful, r****t nonsense.

Clearly and obviously, Brian Devon, 3jack, and Grace are intelligent and reasonable people. As for "Madjack", ha, maybe first syllable of his username pretty well sums him up. He just wants attention by making some ridiculous and outrageous statement that he knows is ridiculous. We've all met hundreds just like him over the years. No point in wasting our time with his nonsense. . .

To whomever you are: (1) Just because something is in print doesn't mean it is factual. Most lying propaganda is in print. The stuff you displayed was not from reputable universities or other reputable sources of true statistical research. (2) The mere FACT that wages and salaries in America have been stagnating, even decreased, commensurate with the decline of union membership is clear evidence enough that unions have NOT outlived their usefulness. (3) BTW, the cold war and c*******m all but died thirty years ago, and the Chinese have even gone to a market system, so we can give up all the red-herring fear mongering about c*******m.

The plain historical fact is that unions created the middle class in America. Statistics clearly show that as unions increased, so did the income of American citizens who came to have a livable wages. And now, as union membership has decreased, salaries and wages have stagnated . . . even decreased in real dollars when adjusted for inflation. USA needs a strong middle class in order for the democracy and free enterprise system to be successful. Big business funds anti-union propaganda because they want to share fewer profits with workers . . . another historical fact. So they characterize union members as c*******ts and thugs. In fact, when unions were being formed, it was the companies who hired thugs to beat up union members. Sadly, many shallow-thinking middle class folks drink the anti-union cool aid propaganda and work against their own best personal interest and the interests of the middle class. Instead of just repeating what you hear, try something new: read history and study the facts.
