Dave---the "right" to not buy health insurance is really the "right " to be a free rider on the rest of society when they d**g you to the ER half dead someday. Making everyone have health insurance was first pushed by the conservative Heritage Foundation 25 years ago and advocated by Republican politicians as a mater of personal responsibility. That is until it became part of the ACA, then they disowned their own idea. It's easy to be irresponsible when you know that no matter what the ER can't turn you away when your life is in danger. So buck up and get with the program---the rest of us are tired of you leakers clogging up all the ER's.

Hey lpnmajor and you too alex: Fixing a plumbing leak and doing electrical work are very useful sk**ls---sk**ls I have and used to fix up the distressed properties a picked up 4 or 5 yrs ago for 50-60 cents on the dollar that I can now rent out at below market rates and still make a nice profit. It's one of the reasons I'm not a "wage s***e" dependent on someone else for income. What I can't figure out is how come you guys who imply you understand this capitalist system of ours so well haven't been nearly as successful as me. It's true one doesn't need to be smart to be rich (Many are rich because they exploit others) and you don't need to be poor to be dumb.

Now the economy is growing, the housing market has made a comeback and the value of America's companies is growing at a record pace. Yea, Obama is destroying America alright---lets go back to December 2008.
I guess if you ignore the fact that oil companies are subsidized by the government too and that coal plants spew out all kind of toxins into the air making life a real d**g for anyone with lung problems you guys have a point. Why should the government subsidize wind farms---for the same reason it subsidized the t***scontinental railroad. It made our country stronger and more prosperous. The thing about wind energy though is that no matter how much the Koch brothers manipulate the price of oil and coal in the future the price of wind will always be free. You call others liars yet you lie by omission all the time by only citing the facts that bolster your (or probably that fat drug addict on the radios) arguments.

To working class stiff: If you read the whole string then it should be obvious that I am arguing against the propaganda that I now benefit from. There are eight churches within two blocks of my house and at least three have food pantries---and I live in a suburb! So sometimes I go over to the one on my block and make a deposit. My favorite charity is the Hunger Task Force. But the problem won't be solved with food pantries---the mind set among workers has to change. As you noted many of them want to be in the rentier class themselves so taxing the rich means maybe taxing them some day. But really, if the rich pay tax rates that are a fraction of what the middle class pay how are they supposed to ever caught up?
How smart do you have to be to realize Limbaugh is blowing BS up your ass? Not very. by the way I didn't claim to be smarter but I do have four college degrees. That's why I made so much money when I did have a job---by the way the rich didn't give me a job out of the goodness of their hearts, they gave me a job because just like most everyone else because they calculated that they would make a profit on my labor. Also I do fix leaky facets, install electrical outlets, (I have two electrical engineering degrees), grow food and countless other things at rental properties I bought in foreclosure and fixed up. You see I do understand capitalism very well and am pretty good at the game. Now that I'm firmly in the rentier class I should turn my back on the struggling workers but I guess it just pain me so much to see so many fall prey to the age old game of turning worker against worker while the rich suck up all the wealth in the system. Oh I'm sorry I forgot: Unions bad---they fight for workers rights, higher minimum wage, overtime pay, ect
Rich people good---they buy politicians to rig the tax code in their favor, pay the lowest wages possible, and hide there money in offshore accounts to avoid the little I n taxes they do owe.
