Verse of the Day for Thursday, September 19, 2019

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
—Ephesians 4:29

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The goal in Christian communication is not just clarity. Neither is the goal just to be understood. The goal is not even just to be truthful. The goal is to be appropriate, encouraging, and uplifting to others based on the needs of that other person.

My Prayer...
Tender Shepherd, give me a heart that is pure so that my words may be pure. Give me a heart that is kind so that my words may be kind. Give me a heart that is full of joy and encouragement so that I may share these with those you bring to my path and with whom I share conversation. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

The Thoughts and Prayer on Today's Verse are written by Phil Ware.

Peewee was riding his motorcycle in a country area when he saw a chicken running along with him.

“That’s a fast chicken,” he thought to himself.

So he sped up to 50 mph, and to his surprise, the chicken was still running along side

“What? This chicken has gotta be kidding me!”

Then he sped up to 100 mph, thinking he finally made the chicken eat his dust, but when he looked at his side, he saw the chicken grew bigger and bigger in image and simply passed him, at 130 mph, vanishing in the distance.

“What the heck just happened?” Peewee started to question his own sanity,(such as it was) how was it possible for a chicken to pass a 100 mph motorbike??

Then he saw bahmer, sitting on his porch sipping Jack(Learned from badbobby), and asked:

“Excuse me, bahm! I’m afraid I may be going nuts. Did you see that chicken running faster than my bike? Tell me you saw it and I’m not insane!”

“Yeah I saw it, Peewee, and that’s my chicken,” bahmer replied.

“Your chicken? How can it run so fast?” Peewee asked again.

“Well, 3 years ago me and my bud badbobby genetically designed this special type of chicken, we love chicken drumsticks meat around here, so we created this new special kind of chicken, it has 4 legs, so 4 drumsticks per chicken!”

Peewee was astonished!

“Well sir, that’s crazy! But the meat tastes good, right? I hope the genetic modification didn't affect the flavor...”

“I don’t know, Peewee, didn’t catch any yet,” replied bahm

I don't recall the start date but 2020 rings a bell.

If that were still the case then I would not have insurance after said date.

For more than 800 years scholars have pointed to the dark augury having to do with "the last Pope." The prophecy, taken from St. Malachy's "Prophecy of the Popes," is among a list of verses predicting each of the Roman Catholic popes from Pope Celestine II to the final pope, "Peter the Roman," whose reign would end in the destruction of Rome. First published in 1595, the prophecies were attributed to St. Malachy by a Benedictine historian named Arnold de Wyon, who recorded them in his book, Lignum Vitæ. Tradition holds that Malachy had been called to Rome by Pope Innocent II, and while there, he experienced the vision of the future popes, including the last one, which he wrote down in a series of cryptic phrases. According to the prophecy, the next pope (following Benedict XVI) is to be the final pontiff, Petrus Romanus or Peter the Roman. The idea by some Catholics that the next pope on St. Malachy's list heralds the beginning of "great apostasy" followed by "great tribulation" sets the stage for the imminent unfolding of apocalyptic events, something many non-Catholics would agree with.

This would give rise to a false prophet, who according to the book of Revelation leads the world's religious communities into embracing a political leader known as Antichrist. In recent history, several Catholic priests--some deceased now--have been surprisingly outspoken on what they have seen as this inevitable danger rising from within the ranks of Catholicism as a result of secret satanic "Illuminati-Masonic" influences. These priests claim secret knowledge of an multinational power elite and occult hierarchy operating behind supranatural and global political machinations. Among this secret society are sinister false Catholic infiltrators who understand that, as the Roman Catholic Church represents one-sixth of the world's population and over half of all Christians, it is indispensable for controlling future global elements in matters of church and state and the fulfillment of a diabolical plan they call "Alta Vendita," which is set to assume control of the papacy and to help the False Prophet deceive the world's faithful (including Catholics) into worshiping Antichrist. As stated by Dr. Michael Lake Catholic and evangelical scholars have dreaded this moment for centuries. Unfortunately time for avoiding Peter the Roman just ran out.

Very interesting although I am not Roman Catholic I can see how this would be chilling to those Catholics who are die hard Catholics and some of them are here on OPP. I don't follow the pope and never have but have had friends that have followed. We are entering into a time where we are going to have to hold each other up in prayer and support each other.

It is one thing to sell ones house and then move it is quite the other to have ones home and possessions destroyed and the try to move unless they are to reimbursed for the home and the possessions.
