Nothing "wrong" with state legislators deciding on a senator; electing a legislator to v**e for another representative sounds to me like carrying republicism to an extreme. Well, we are a republic. However, directly electing a representative conforms more to the ideals of democracy.
In any case, regardless of which party controled congress, or if the president was a liberal or conservative or a moslem or a c****e had little to do with America getting into the world wars.
Isolationism had a loud voice and a popular following. It was endorsed by notable figures like Charles Lindburgh and Henry Ford. We even allowed the American Bund which represented the N**i party. What we learned from isolationism is that it doesn't work. "Leave them alone and they'll leave us alone" did not keep us safe from hostility or threats or violations of neutrality and international law.

Well, this is not the way California is to treat and and show respect to the United States President. I don't care if it was Atilla the Hun being President, this was rude, and in total disregard of the "American Way."
This is those people however, that sneak across our Border, then the next day picket the White House for Citizenship, then Yell at the President to get their families from Mexico to here, NOW!

I don't use the term "President", when talking about Obama, he's not worthy of the title, and besides he's a damm Arrogant/Illegal/Fraudulent/Muslim, and should be Jailed for treason, I blame the GOP for letting Obama run rampant in his quest in the ruination of America. OBAMA is the biggest threat we have in the Government. Why does the GOP do nothing to get this guy out? Two f********t e******ns, and he still goes on. The Supreme Court, should be abolished, along with the IRS, EPA FEDS, and a flat tax should be installed. What in hell is the GOP doing besides nothing? The Dems are all over them in every aspect.
