I have shown no disrespect for anyone. Yes, I have disagreed at times and have become impatient, but no place will you find that I show disrespect for a person or their religion. Of course, I could be misreading your intent in your "Accordingly, those who choose to not believe deserve the same respect" as saying that I am personally disrespectful. I firmly believe that everyone has free will and everyone has been given sufficient information to make informed decisions. I made my decision that God does in fact exist, that I will die and I will be judged.

No, no, no. That was not directed at you. It was a general comment to those intolerant among us.

I do believe in God with all my heart, always have and always will. When I am asked why I believe in God, I can only say that I believe because I choose to believe. I do not have a reason not to believe. I can see order and intelligence in the universe that is just so perfect that it could not have been an accident.

As for the video, the young man really knew his stuff. He had these nonbelievers all in a titter.

Ginnyt, I think that your second sentence is the essence of the dilemma ".......I can only say that I believe because I choose to believe." No one could or should challenge that. Accordingly, those who choose to not believe deserve the same respect.

What does this poll mean? Not too much. Why? Because anyone responding to it probably doesn't know the difference btween the ACA and Obamacare. However, since the pollsters can't even spell "oppose", the entire "poll" was probably done by the mailroom kid who never graduated from high school. Why would anyone want to publicize their ignorance for all to see? They certainly can't spell. Bet they can't do the math to figure out percentages, either.

The polls about the Affordable Care Act are, for the most part meaningless. Someone has already pointed out the 9 % differential between liking the ACA and liking Obamacare , even though they are the same thing. People talk without knowledge. People v**e without knowledge. Always was and always will be. The difference now-a-days, is that people ignore there lack of knowledge and speak, or write, because it gives them attention.

Supposedly, ... at the time dinosaurs roamed the earth, there were also alligators, crocodiles, sharks and a small mouse-like mammal that was the "ancestor" of all human beings. This mouse-like creature, through the years, supposedly morphed or "evolved" into monkeys, and then later into us humans. If that is true, why didn't those reptiles (crocs and gators) "evolve" into intelligent beings? Why aren't they walking upright? Why aren't they as smart as humans? They had enough time to "evolve" into intelligent beings! Why didn't sharks "evolve" into intelligent beings, and become the fish farmers of the sea? Why aren't we buying our seafood from a shark named Ralph?

If evolution works in one species, why doesn't it work equally well in other species? The answer, .... well read your bible. Humans are unique, we didn't "evolve" from a mouse or a monkey. Only humans have that spark of knowledge that allows us to know that there is a God, and that we alone, unlike all other living things on earth, have a soul that recognizes the existence of that God. We are unique in the animal kingdom, in the fact that we know from early life, that our earthly body will certainly die, and that we have a soul that will live after that body dies. "The Evolution of Man" is nothing but fiction.

I`m amazed that, rather than accept evolution, you prefer to believe in a talking snake and the writing of MEN not GOD some 300 years after Jesus left this earth!

Be kind to marco. He is NO MORE stupid then teddy cruzz. Does it anything to do with being Cuban? You know how the right wing conservatard teabags are always yapping about Cuba and C*******m

Cruz isn`t stupid...he is dangerous. I don`t think that Rubio is anywhere Cruz in terms of being a problem.

I think that the position taken by Cuban Americans and the US Government are both wrong vis-à-vis our relations with Cuba.

Rubio has no chance . As much as he h**es to admit it he IS Cuban and the r****ts,will not for a non white to be President. As we know R****ts are all the GOP has left.

Fortunately, there are many more non-r****ts than r****ts. Two things, in my opinion, disqualify Rubio at this time: first of all, he doesn`t have the courage of his convictions and just follows the wind a la Charlie Crist and; secondly, he just isn`t intellectually ready. Maybe someday he will be.

the reason goes back to what my Swedish Grandmother told me , if you see a broken plate on the floor clean it up , don't worry about who did it that can be determined later clean it up so others do not get hurt, I do not think she was wrong

Bluejacket, I agree with you and your grandmother about cleaning up a problem and not wait for someone else to do it. But, the broken plate, in all probability cannot be used and therefore, must be put in the trash.

[quote=slatten49]Thank you. I was aware of the going's on in Colorado, but had never really paid attention to the names of the state senators being recalled. I appreciate your quick response! Yours' too, Genoa!

I just noticed your response, also, Bojester....[/quote

Of interest is that 4 senators were up for recall but only 2 were recalled. This still leaves the Colorado legislature in Democratic hands.

Just for my information, Ve'hoe, who are Senators "Giron & Morse". I am not familiar with either of these two names.

I am serious, I don't. Are they from the distant past? Maybe they're not U.S. Senators, but from a state legislate?

 :?:

State Senators from Colorado who were recalled because of their position on gun control.

According to David Brooks, conservative writer and pundit, that is exactly what the cuban/canadian is. Seems like his wants to take over the republican party. As a democrat, I hope he does, since that will insure our success in 2014/2016, but on the larger scale, there are some good repblicans who may get primaried, or they will shift to the radicalism of the teabags. Not a good thing.

I agree ! Ted Cruz is an asset to the Democrats. One of his more recent pronouncements is that the Senate needs 100 more senators like Jesse Helms. Cruz is an embarrassment.
