Well if that is true, a lot of good buddists are going to hell along with many other decent people. That's not a God that I would worship. I think the meaning of Romans 1:20 is that what matters is what's in your heart, not what's in your head. In fact, there's reason to believe that much of that one way to salvation was written for the Gospel of John, which was written last, way after Christ's death. A lot of politics were involved early on when the good book was cannonized. If I was still a Christian, I would rely more on the other 3 gospels. But thanks for the welcome. I am agnostic, however I'm not sure that was relevant to my take on aliens not being exposed to Christ so they can't exist. I find that argument lacking. I was raised going to church and Sunday school, went to church camp every summer and I've studied the bible a wee bit. So, I have an opinion. I think it's well thought out. What significance do you put on Romans 1:20 ? I like to think that if there is an after life, God has a special regard for atheists who managed to be good humans without the promise of heaven or the threat of eternal damnation.

Your "it wouldn't make sense theologically" doesn't make sense imo. Romans 1:20 is an answer to the question what about people, especially in history but even currently, who have never been exposed to Christ teachings. The answer is that they are without excuse because his invisible power and deity is perceived in all things, even the trees and grass and the sky (paraphrased). So, aliens would have the same opportunity and be without excuse. To me, this refuted the claim that only by accepting Jesus unto your heart can you be saved. There are other paths according to this verse and even more it makes sense in terms of a just God. Aliens would also be exposed to the wonders of the universe no matter what part of the universe they hail from.
