Gun owners are people who like facts. Tell us a certain gun or cartridge is better than the next one, and we want concrete evidence. To prove its reliability, we want to know how many rounds have been used on a certain gun model. In short, we want to see the data.

Gun control advocates live in a different world. In the world of gun control, everything runs on emotion. Wild claims are thrown out as facts with nothing to back them up except ignorance and misinformation. If you think that is too harsh, let’s go through some of the best-known gun control claims, and you can judge for yourself.

This one has been recycled for over a decade. Gun controllers claim that anyone can walk into any gun show and buy a gun without a background check. The reality is that any licensed FFL who sells a gun to anyone, anywhere, must run a background check under federal law. There is no loophole. What the antis are referring to in reality is that some states allow personal sales of firearms between two private parties who may meet at a gun show without a background check. It has nothing to do with gun shows. However, in states that require a background check for all gun sales, they can’t even do that. There is no gun show loophole, and there never was.

Neither of them could define an ‘assault weapon’ when asked to during the Congressional confirmation hearings. Consequently, politicians try to ban all semiautomatic rifles under the heading ‘assault weapon.’

FBI data for 2022 indicates that of the 19,200 murders reported in 2022, only 542 involved rifles of any type. That is less than either knives/blades (1,630) or hands/feet (665). The final verdict? An ‘assault weapon’ ban would have no noticeable effect on violent crime.

A gun is an inanimate object and can’t control anything. It is good parenting and proper education on responsible gun safety that affects children’s experience with guns and the tendency to be violent.

Where does that leave the elderly, women, and people who are physically weaker than their assailant? I personally know a young girl who was assaulted in her apartment in a large city with strict gun control and stabbed 17 times. By the grace of God, she survived but was scarred for life. And that doesn’t even address the slow response time for 911 calls to the police. A violent crime is usually over in seconds. Finally, the right to self-defense isn’t a matter of law; it is a God-given right, and innocent people deserve an equalizer when dealing with violent criminals.

Currently, the most restrictive gun laws are in large cities and disproportionately affect minorities and low-income families living in high-crime areas. The lack of gun shops and ranges, restrictive permit requirements, and high fees for gun ownership and carry permits have the greatest effect on minorities, while the wealthy white liberals who push gun control live in low-crime areas, and many of them own guns themselves. If that’s not r****t, I don’t know what is.

In many cases, buyback programs are a joke among gun owners. In several amusing instances, people have sold multiple guns they made on 3D printers, in one case collecting $21,000. Overall, there is no evidence that gun buyback programs have any effect whatsoever in reducing crime.

Finally, shipping services like FedEx and UPS will not ship firearms of any type to a private individual, only to a licensed FFL. All this makes it virtually impossible to legally buy a gun online without a background check.

Estimates of state and lower laws run somewhere around 20,000, but short of spending your lifetime counting them in every state, county, and city, there is no way to know for sure. All one must do to see the fallacy of this claim is to look at cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, and Detroit. Like all liberal-run cities, they have both strict gun laws and very high crime rates. It is only common sense that if a person is willing to commit crimes like robbery, rape, and murder, they aren’t particularly worried about violating a gun law. Many criminals are repeat offenders who are legally prohibited from possessing a gun. Beyond that, a great deal of the violence in large cities is carried out by juvenile gang members who cannot legally possess a gun. Finally, most guns used in crimes are not legally acquired in the first place, so gun laws would not affect their possession or use in a crime.

Organizations like Everytown for Gun Safety have spun what they define as mass shootings to include clashes that led to shootings at parties and private homes involving multiple victims to dispute that number by claiming that only 10% of “mass shootings” take place in gun-free zones, but that is simply not the case. Virtually every mall, movie theater, and school where a random mass shooting has taken place has been a gun-free zone. All gun-free zones do is ensure the criminal or crazy person has a free-fire zone to commit mayhem.

We don’t have to. The facts are clear, and everything in this article can be researched and a source cited.

Gun control advocates often spin information to make their point. For example, the CDC is quoted by gun controllers as stating that 48,830 people were k**led by guns in 2021. What they do not say is that according to the highly respected Pew Research Center, 54% of those deaths were suicides, 43% were murders, and 3% were accidents, police shootings, or undetermined. I was a probation officer for several years and dealt with a lot of suicides related to my cases. Sadly, if someone wants to commit suicide, they will find a way even if they don’t have a gun. Another fact is that despite more and more people legally buying and carrying guns, murder, and non-negligent manslaughter decreased by 6.1% in 2022 compared to 2021.

Americans remain divided on gun control. It’s true that many want stricter gun control laws, but that pendulum is swinging. According to the NSSF, there were 5.4 million first-time gun buyers in 2021, and the number continues to be high. The increasing number of first-time gun owners makes it clear that Americans are losing faith in their government and the police to protect them and are choosing to exercise their constitutional right to arm themselves. And facts don’t lie.

The world is watching as useful i***ts for Hamas demonstrate on American college campuses.

Our enemies are loving it. The demonstrators are chanting "Death to Israel" and "Death to America" on U.S. soil. Ignorant young people are declaring themselves as Hamas, the internationally recognized terror group, a proxy of Iran.

Shiraz University in Iran offers scholarships to American students who have been expelled.

None will take the university up on its offer, of course. The protesters in America are brainwashed college students who have been indoctrinated by far-left professors. The professors are joining in with the students on many campuses. Outside professional agitators are infiltrating the protests.

This is a well-financed effort that is funded by dark money groups, people of the far left who support the destruction of America as we know it. It is spreading around the country, not fading away. One protest ends and another pops up on a different campus.

Shiraz University is happy to welcome American professors, too.

Mohammad Moazzeni, head of Shiraz University in the southern region of Fars, extended his proposal to those protesting Israel's actions in its war against Hamas, following clashes between demonstrators and law enforcement across America.

He said: "Students and even professors who have been expelled or threatened with expulsion can continue their studies at Shiraz University and I think that other universities in Shiraz as well as Fars Province are also prepared [to provide the conditions]," he said, according to Irainian state-owned outlet Press TV.

While American students cosplay terrorists, the rest of the world waits and watches. Does the president, the leader of the free world, have anything to say on the topic? Is Biden secretly hoping that Israel loses its war against Hamas so Muslim Arab Americans in Dearborn, Michigan will v**e for his re-e******n in November?

I'm old enough to remember when silence meant complicity.

What the useful i***ts on college campuses don't understand is that they would be targeted for death under the Iranian regime. Student uprisings are not allowed. The "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement began in September 2022, after the death of a 22-year-old college student, Mahsa Amini. She was arrested and beaten by the morality police for improperly wearing her hijab in public. She later died in jail from her injuries.

Seeing signs at American protests that read "Q***rs for Palestine" makes me cringe. Gay Iranians are thrown off buildings.

There is no such thing as free speech in Iran. There is no personal freedom at all. It is worse for women and girls. College protesters who align themselves with Hamas are aligning themselves with Iran.

Shiraz University, which Newsweek has contacted for further comment, was formerly known as Pahlavi University. Established in 1946, it is one of the Islamic republic's most prestigious universities and is listed among its top three research-oriented schools.

We deplore the runaway National Debt, and the spendthrift manner it was grown by liberals. The amount is obscene: $34 trillion! We must find the way out of this burden of the century.

We believe all citizens must be treated equally, wh**ever their race, color, or ethnic origin. This applies both before the law, and in daily life. We no longer accept the victimhood ploy of certain factions in our nation. E******y means e******y.

We believe our nation must have strong police departments. The i***tic idea of defunding the police must be reversed throughout the nation.

We also believe strongly in the Second Amendment of the Constitution, and those who would disarm the citizenry must be admonished that the law is the law.

We also believe that our free speech law must be modified to allow arrest, prosecution and conviction of anyone on our soil that espouses 'Death to America,” 'H**e America”or closely aligned phrases in any language. The penalty should be deportation to their country of origin (with a forever ban on their return), or up to 15 years in prison for egregious incidents, followed by deportation and banning.

We believe there are factions of the Islamic faith that are dedicated to the o*******w of the US government in favor of an Islamic government some time in the future. The protection of religious freedom must not extend to these Muslims. Our Constitution is not a suicide pact.

We believe that i*****l i*******ts have no legal status in our country, they should be returned to their nation, and our borders controlled closely. To be a refugee, there must be a formally recognized war that causes that status. Cartel wars do not count. We must devise an immigration policy that makes sense. Wh**ever the current policy is, it is a travesty and its administration has been totally wrong-headed
