Appears to me that you are an independent with a mixture of right and left opinions. Your first post indicated your concern that the "l*****t" are trying to repeal the second amendment. This may be true of the "extreme" left, but that is certainly not the agenda of the vast majority of l*****t's. I contend that the majority wish to try to stop events like Columbine, New Jersey, and other shooting rampages that occur. Their intent does not include taking guns away from law abiding citizens. The second amendment has always been a controversial amendment in that it's verbiage can be construed in several ways.
As far as the first amendment is concerned, I again contend the vast majority of the left has no repeal agenda for it.
The one major issue that I and a vast majority of left leaning citizens have is the concept that Corporations have the same rights as Citizens, including free speech as specified by the first amendment. (as specified by the Citizen's United decision of the Supreme Court) . If anything can destroy our Republic, that is it. Allowing corporations, associations, or labor unions to make anonymous political independent expenditures means that ANYONE, including enemys of the US can pour millions upon millions of dollars into political advertising that aids politicians who, upon winning, will need to "repay" with political favors which undoubtedly will be detrimental to American citizens in one form of another.
As far as the Federal Military, it cannot legally be used inside American borders due to the The Posse Comitatus Act.

The Dems who have reversed their support have done so to because they perceive it will allow them to survive the coming e******ns. There are Republicans who feel that Obamacare is valid and support it. Anyone can promise to build a Website for one million dollars, but to do it under the strict guidelines of the federal contracting process, with the complexities and interfaces that are required to support the many disparate pieces of the product, plus, make a profit is totally unrealistic.
