No, I didn't say that. At some point the gun gets used in the film. After Baldwin checks it, it could just as easily be out of his sight again before the scene is shot. So, really, he has to trust at some point that the gun is ready. You can't do the work and the pr********n both. Yes, ideally, you check it first. But, again really, it looks a lot like someone wanted the gun loaded. As I saw in another reply, good idea to ban loaded guns on movie sets, but like all gun control, it depends absolutely upon there being no outlaws on set. How does that work? I smell a saboteur.

What you all fail to take into account is that this wasn't Mr. Hexum playing with a blank gun backstage. This was a live movie shoot. When an actor is handed a prop gun whoever hands it off has to KNOW it's safe- unloaded or loaded with blanks. Since it's not bargain-basement TV, blanks aren't needed. The gun had to be EMPTY. An actor can't be seen or shown checking the weapon, he has to trust it's safe. In this case it isn't the shooter OR the gun that's "at fault", it's the prop master who's responsible, who's responsible. Whether an actor is a proponent of gun control (many are, we know) is irrelevant, so shut up with the mindless propaganda already.

As for Tyranny of the majority, first we need to advance to the point of majority rule, rather than the ongoing minority rule of a gerrymandered-in-place "elite". I seem to remember bazillions of Democrats celebrating tRumpf's nomination in 2016 because he couldn't possibly win. Stop celebrating the demise of the GOP. First, they are nowhere near dead.
