Authorities on Tuesday apprehended an individual suspected of k*****g five people in Cleveland, Texas, following a Friday evening altercation.

Authorities arrested Francisco Oropesa without incident on Tuesday evening, NBC News reported, citing the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

His arrest marks an end to the manhunt that had baffled law enforcement for days. Authorities indicated earlier this week that they had "zero leads" as to his whereabouts.

As of Monday, it was believed that Oropesa had slipped past a network of roadblocks in the Cleveland area, despite extensive efforts by law enforcement to contain him within a set perimeter.

During the manhunt, reports emerged that the fugitive had been deported four times, twice in 2009, and again in 2012 and 2016.

The manhunt ensued following Oropesa's alleged k*****g of five of his neighbors after reportedly being asked to stop shooting his firearm. Authorities indicated that four adults were found dead at the scene while one child died at the hospital later.

A mind set is a terrible thing to change..

It seems republicans believe that the only way to stop gun violence is with more guns. Never mind the fact that America has more guns per capita while simultaneously the most mass shootings and gun related violence of any developed country.

Some say we shouldn’t take guns away from law abiding citizens. But isn’t everyone a law abiding citizen until they’re not? And maybe it’s more than just guns themselves, but weapons of war. I can’t fathom any reason a typical law abiding citizen would necessitate an AR 15.

Others say that it’s not guns that are the problem, but people. Yes it’s people. People with guns. And if people are the problem, why are you giving them guns? And yet others say it’s a mental health issue. But don’t want to do anything to help with that either.

There is also the argument that the good guys with guns will get rid of the bad guys with guns. But again, nothing is being done to figure out who’s a bad guy. And even “good guys” with guns don’t seem to be all that helpful. Just ask the victims of the Uvalde shooting.

Don’t worry though. All this talk of gun control, no one is coming for your guns. Except maybe your kids. But I digress. Yes. I believe that republicans think the solution to gun violence and mass shootings is more guns. And apparently every time someone knocks on your front door, get that AR 15 ready. We see how well that’s been working lately.
