Your so very right regarding the Cascadia Subduction zone. The one place on earth that can set a string of events in motion. The San Andreas fault is far less of a threat for widespread loss of life and property damage.
Every earthquake on earth is born from deep earthquakes. Majority of (90-95%) are not at fault lines but at weak points in the earth's crust. Mother nature seeks our weak points just as magma seeks out weak points, punches up through the earth's crust creating a Volcanoe, volcanic field or deformation in the earth's crust and these are the same places earthquakes strike.

An earthquake in say Tennessee can first be traced back to earthquake energy coming down from Alaska, from Alaska up from Japan and from Japan up from the Indonesia Region.

First a Deep earthquake strikes in the Indonesia region. A deep earthquake is energy hammering up on the underside of the earth's crust. The energy then follows the plate boundaries dropping off larger magnitude, shallow earthquakes. The United States earthquakes energy comes down from Alaska into the Juan D Fuca fault (the Juan D Fuca fault itself has very few earthquakes) from the upper arm of the Juan D Fuca fault Washington state, Southern Idaho, Western and far Eastern Montana. From the bottom of the Juan D Fuca fault energy enters into California, Utah, California /Nevada Border then Western Texas the Christmas volcanic field in Texas, Dallas following the Craton into Colorado, Oklahoma Kansas and other South - Southeast and Eastern states along the Craton. Earthquakes in these states or the locations of the earthquakes are found in the weak points of the the earth's crust where man has drilled for oil and gas. For example, take any earthquake in Oklahoma look up the coordinates on Google Earth and you will see the thousands, hundreds of thousands of drill pads and see the Jack's and Derricks used for drilling or pumping. In California we will see drill points used for Geo Thermo power, drilling for oil and gas or active and ancient volcanoes, volcanic fields or volcanic deformations in the earth's crust with a fraction of earthquakes in California on faults.
South America earthquakes are traced to the Indonesia region but instead of following the plate boundaries the energy follows Cracks in the earth's crust across the Pacific ocean, the energy slamming into the Plate much like a train slamming into a brick wall. The west coast of South America is highly active with erupting volcanoes just the same as Indonesia and produces large shallow earthquakes. The east coast of South America in Argentina is one of 9 points on the globe that produces Deep earthquakes and we then see earthquakes strike the islands in the South Atlantic.

So what causes Deep earthquakes? Explosions in earth's Plasma core, not solid core. I'll leave with that to think about and one other thought. Most of the professionals (such as the USGS, and a dozen others like it) that publish their research.... The research is inaccurate, false or misleading and based on a false foundation with corruption and Greed in the name of "Government Grants /Funding" ".
Be safe,
Be prepared,
Jack

My reply not about Beth Meddler but Joy Bauer, the really tiny woman, that gives diet and exercise advice to other women. How can you say that she is fat & ugly. You better get yourself a new set of eyes.

Sad Not really. I am/was quite aware of Mueller's history and accusations against him.

But, despite accusations and slander against him, the U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed the George W. Bush-nominated Mueller as FBI Director on August 2, 2001, v****g 98-0 in favor of his appointment. In May 2011, President Barack Obama asked Mueller to continue at the helm of the FBI for two additional years beyond his normal 10-year term, which would have expired on September 4, 2011. The U.S. Senate approved this request 100–0 on July 27, 2011.

On May 16, 2017, Mueller met with President Trump as a courtesy to provide perspectives on the FBI and input on considerations for hiring a new FBI Director. This meeting was initially widely reported to have been an interview to serve again as the FBI Director. President Trump broached resuming the position in their meeting; however, Mueller was ineligible to return as FBI Director due to statutory term limits, nor did Mueller have interest in resuming the position.

The next day, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller to serve as special counsel for the United States Department of Justice. In this capacity, Mueller oversaw the investigation into "any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump, and any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation".

Mueller's appointment to oversee the investigation immediately garnered widespread support from both Democrats and Republicans in Congress. Newt Gingrich, former Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives and prominent conservative political commentator, stated via Twitter that "Robert Mueller is a superb choice to be special counsel. His reputation is impeccable for honesty and integrity." Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) said, "Former Director Mueller is exactly the right kind of individual for this job. I now have significantly greater confidence that the investigation will follow the facts wherever they lead." Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) stated, "former FBI director Mueller is well qualified to oversee this probe".

Smearing of the life-long Republican escalated again soon, if not immediately after he was named Special Counsel on Russian e******n meddling.

As you seem to have pointed out, his record as a Marine officer was impeccable. Reflecting on his service in the Vietnam War, Mueller said, "I consider myself exceptionally lucky to have made it out of Vietnam. There were many—many—who did not. And perhaps because I did survive Vietnam, I have always felt compelled to contribute." In 2009, he told a writer that despite his other accomplishments he was still "most proud the Marine Corps deemed me worthy of leading other Marines."

Mueller Feared E******n Tampering Is ‘New Normal,’ As GOP Helps Ensure It Is

Toward the end of his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, former special counsel Robert Mueller responded to Democrat Peter Welch, who asked: “Have we established a new normal from this past campaign that is going to apply to future campaigns, so that if any one of us running for the U.S. House ― any candidate for the U.S. Senate, any candidate for the presidency of the United States ― aware that a hostile foreign power is trying to influence an e******n, has no duty to report that to the FBI or other authorities?”

Mueller responded: “I hope it’s not the new normal, but I fear it is.” During his testimony, Mueller added that “we are expecting [Russia] to [interfere] again during the next campaign.”
"I hope this is not the new normal. But I fear it is."

Looks like he was right, right out of the door the bill as been blocked by the republican party...WHY? Wake up people, may the new GOP RIP.

Yeah, it did. There is no longer any possibility for impeachment.

Seems few really know who actually led and conducted the "Mueller" investigation. It wasn't Mueller, he was just the figurehead--he was chosen to mask the dirty work. The Republican, war hero, and the man with a stellar (????) record in federal justice, Mueller was chosen only to give the thing credibility.

Andrew Weissmann was the point man, he was the lead investigator, he managed the anti-Trump team in all of its work, and he is the author of the "Mueller Report".
