While there may be a small ring of t***h to ethnic stereotyping, what Gym Dandy is doing amounts to calling a spade a backhoe. It is one thing to mention in passing that there is a higher incidence of alcoholism amoung Irish as opposed to Italians, but if one goes on and on about the drunks staggering out of Sweeney's bar, it would be fair to say that he dislikes people from the Emerald Isle

Not trying to change the second amendment, just trying to play Devil's advocate. No one on either side of the debate seems willing to compromise. Some might call me a gun nut because of my concealed carry permit and Ruger 380. Others might consider me a gun grabber, because I can't see any reason for private citizens to own an arsenal of military grade hardware.

While I do recognize that our second amendment does allow for private ownership of firearms, there is no doubt that over the years, they have enabled countless murders that might not happened otherwise. A case in point involved a British bodybuilder, Bertil Fox, who back in 1997, k**led his girlfriend and her mother while on a "roid rage" Extremely strong, even by bodybuilder standards, he could have crushed their ribs with one punch, or snapped their necks with a simple twist of his massive arms. Guess what; he picked up a gun and shot both of them, because it was psychologically easier to pull a trigger than get up close and personal. Leads me to wonder, might they both be alive, if that gun wasn't lying around
