No rise in global temperature in last 15 years that is why the wackos call is c*****e c****e now. Here in northern Minnesota we have got more rain this year so far the prairie which is south west of us did not get much rain and the aquifer is getting low.
As far as global .... change the warm cold cycles caused by the wobble in the earth seem to be going on as usual but co2 has increased my own opinion is that population rain forest and machinery increase co2 which increase the growth of algae in the ocean, pond scum and other green stuff. I think pond scum will be a nice carbon neutral way to grow fuel. Corn causes starvation and needs to stop being used in gasoline. I favor fazing out coal for radiation and acid rain but you cannot just stop short. For some reason solar does not work commercially. Wind works but the first in and the rapid variation in load causes the nuclear plants to have to vary load which is not good for their efficiency. Natural gas and small high enriched reactor plants will help with that. We need to use our natural gas and export coal and oil. One thing that nobody seems too interested in is what I think will replace coal easy. Tide energy is only even being tried in the new york city area. It has no dangers you can't even say it shreds birds. It is just like hydro so we know how to use it and the tide is always either going out out or coming in so it is steady like nuclear. We can even use it in the great lakes for the midwest and Hudson Bay and connected waters that go all the way to the Red River of the north near me. All those rivers and lakes have flooding problems the Red should not be allowed to flow north and diverted to fill the big aquifer that keeps more dust bowls away! The up and down stuff like wind and solar when they make it work should be phased in to supply hydrogen to fuel cars because natural gas is not infinite. Not with expensive fuel cells and corrosive batteries but as a flammable gas. When you have a electric resource that is uncontrollable like solar and wind a great use is to make something we need a lot of like carbon free car fuel. We will have to watch out though it could make the mini ice age coming worse. If we ever need to remove CO2 from the air Science channel had 5 ways to cool down the earth and they all worked and most used no energy. The best seemed to be putting it into oil wells or natural gas wells.
I wrote this piece to stimulate discussion of new and better energy sources. Not to start any fights except maybe to put a stake in the Global temperature so people who think the sky is falling all the time would move on to something else.
I know a lot about nuclear fission and fusion if folks are interested in them.
I wrote this to take my mind off what is scaring me; which is that everything reliable I read makes me think Barack Obama is trying to ruin our economy, stir up Patriots like me to cause civil unrest so he can declare martial law, FEMA camp us constitutional conservatives; K**l us and then slip right into a socialist dictatorship like the colleges have been teaching (brainwashing) those kids whose moms have been paying for or as in the other fight bord going into debt they can't pay. Those who studied something like english history or historical psychology that you can't get a job in.
While I worked my company paid 85 % and I paid the other 15 as I went and got over 100 credits toward an engineering degree at university of Maryland college who came and taught at my work and some was by computer. Not real computerized education like now but homework and tests were done on computer via internet. It was innovative, I didn't have to take crap courses: they forced me to take english comp and lit that I actually liked because they wanted me to write interesting stories and read interesting stories not do sentence structure which I rebelled against in high school and couldn't have gotten into college if I had wanted to until I had excelled at in the Navy and training for nuclear power from penn state at my work.
