The difficulty in the education system is the constant changing (every 2-4 years) of teaching methodology. As with society as a whole (very insulting analogy), they seek instant gratification. If test scores do not increase, out the methodology and in with the new. They are rarely tested or proven in any way, shape or form. The individuals writing these methodologies, in a majority of the cases, have rarely if ever been in a classroom to teach. They are technicians not teachers. They NEVER ask for input from the very people who will have to utilize them, ie. teachers. Teachers are given approximately ten to fifteen hours of training and sent forth to attempt to implement the practices. It took at least a decade to rid the national education system of the belief University of Michigan PhD individuals knew a pinch of spit about teaching reading. Hopefully, we will not have to continue with the morass these so call "education curriculum" companies issue forth before they too are ignored.

It should be duly noted at this juncture that I issued no insults toward you nor have I in any post.
