So are you saying that god created people who were genetically (confused)? How can something (god that is) that is suppose to be perfect be so imperfect in his creations? I wonder where he would want them to pee since his started this mess to begin with...

I have only a possibility. God created man with free will. That means we can choose our course in life. Now, we can only choose if there is a choice. I believe God gave us random chance just to see how we would choose. Do we choose to follow Him with the best choice available? That doesn't mean a GOOD choice, only the best available at the time. If we keep trying our best to follow Him then we must be on the right track.

Jesus only gave us 2 Commandments to follow; Matt 22:38-40, which paraphrased are 1. Love God with all you have and are, and 2. Love your neighbor as yourself. (Note: no qualifications on this)
Followed by the Lord's statement that if you do these two you will be keeping all the laws and the prophets' teachings. Pretty strong statement.

So just maybe, if we show them Godly love, just maybe we can get them to God who is still in the business of saving souls.

Young boys in Afghanistan face rampant and horrific sexual abuse. They are dressed up as women and forced to dance for older men. They are sold as sex s***es and raped multiple times a day. It's called "bacha bazi" - which means "boy play." It's gruesomely evil.

What's worse, there are multiple reports that the U.S. Military is ordering our troops to look the other way - even reports it's being allowed to occur on U.S. military bases. The U.S. gives Afghanistan more foreign aid than any other nation, yet we are silent in the face of child rape and torture. It's abominable.

Children are being sexually tortured. We must defend them! At the very least we should stop ALL AID to Afghanistan.

Thoughts?

That is not all they left out... "Yesterday, December 7th, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan." it is a 7 minute speech so they had to leave out the majority of it. -skip most of it- "With confidence in our armed forces, with the unbounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph. So help us God." and it ends with Roosevelt asking Congress for a Declaration of War.

It is a great speech, read it all here: http://www.historyplace.com/speeches/fdr-infamy.htm

“His ex wife thought he was a Christian...are you in charge of who Christians are or aren't...what's the means test...you don't k**l somebody ...”

First of all no Christian is ever “called” to determine who is and who is not a Christian. The test is whether to associate with them and act as they do.

Read Matthew 7 verses 16-20 to get the full story, the first and last verses are below:
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Therefore all a Christian is to do is 1. Follow the Lead of Jesus, and 2. Be a “fruit inspector”.

To follow Jesus all that is necessary is to love God with all that you are, and love your neighbor as yourself. And before you ask, you neighbor is any and every one else on this planet. {Refs for this are: Matthew 22:36-40, and Mark 12:28-31, and Luke 10:25-37}

I hope this helps.

I am an Army vet, ('70-'73) obviously Viet Nam era, but was blessed enough not to be in-country. To all of you who were in-country "Thanks for your Service".

I am an Engineer (Chemical) by degree, but have had many and varied jobs, worked for small, medium, large, and "humongous" companies, my own company, and a School District. I have taught (not in the School District) many classes as varied as Programming (FORTRAN under IBM CMS) to SCUBA and Martial Arts. I love music and photography. As my age would indicate I am also opinionated.

I am a fundamentalist Christian, but before you go off on me... My definition of Fundamentalist is that Jesus only gave us 2 commandments - the first and greatest is Love God with all you heart, mind, soul, and strength, the second is like it Love your Neighbor as yourself. In Luke the question comes who is my neighbor. The answer is the story of the Good Samaritan - which means EVERYONE is your (my) neighbor. In Matthew Jesus says that these two comprise all the Law and the Prophets, or in other words, if you truly obey these you will obey all of the commandments! If you're interested {See - Matthew 22:35-40, Mark 12:28-31, and Luke 10:25-37}.

Know that NO Matter WHO it is, God Loves them (maybe not what they are doing, but he does love them). All true Christians are also sinners, it is just that they have been forgiven and given another chance by God. Thank God that He is not a God of the second chance, but the God of another chance.
