I think the question should be how many young b****s thugs running around Chicago shooting people dead almost every day are NRA members? My guess is non of them are NRA members.

Though most gun owners are not members of the NRA, they only have 5 million members. The US population is about 327 million people. Do the math, only 1bout 1.2 % of Americans are NRA members. I am not a member, but to blame the NRA for all the gun violence in America is ridiculous.

It was ONE Officer, not four. There is no excuse for not holding people accountable for violent crime, but do you have a link to prove this? Black males and gays? What kind of minor crimes crimes are we talking about here? Sounds suspiciously like profiling!

You can read all about Project Promise you pull up the Broward County Superintendent web page. They seem to be very proud of project Promise.

Broward County School Superintendent Robert Runcie started the "Promise Program" back in 2013. Runcie came from the Chicago school system. Once on board in Broward he started the Promise Program. He noticed that a disproportionate amount for school suspension and minor grimes were being committed by black males and gays. Runcie was able to get the Broward County Sheriff's office to stop arresting students for minor crimes. This later morphed into a program not to arrest students even if the crimes were violent felonies. Runcie cut suspension by 60% this was done to qualify for federal grants. If you are looking for a reason as to why nothing was done about Nikolas Cruz take a look at the policies of the Broward County Sheriff's Department and the School Board's policies. It has now com to light that four Broward County officers were outside the high school and they never went in to deal with the k**ler. Broward County Sheriff Steve Israel should be immediately fired. These 17 students died because of failed Chicago style liberal policies that basically do nothing to protect citizens. These same policies are the reason Chicago see so many shooting and murders on a daily basis.

Is Trump finally providing us a chance to see an FBI that is actually held accountable for once?

No, what you are seeing may be the perfect crime in action, something the Founders could have never contemplated: that the President of the United States may have committed high crimes and misdemeanors, but because all federal law enforcement reports indirectly through to him, he can undermine the legitimacy of any investigation that touches upon him simply by denouncing his own law enforcement agencies. And he can do so with impunity, as long as he convinces enough of his supporters that the problem isn’t the man in office, but the people sworn to pursue justice, wherever that leads them.

Why could the Founders not possibly conceive of this? Because they assumed that a rogue president would be called to account by an independent Congress, through, they believed in their naïveté, the separation of powers and the power of impeachment.

Think about that. The separation of powers was the method by which the Founders assumed tyranny would be avoided in the United States. They assumed blatant disregard for the law by a president would be fiercely resisted by the people’s and the states’ representatives. A Congress that looks the other way when criminal investigations are derailed by a president who knows very well that he could end up in their sights is a Congress colluding with tyranny.

That is exactly where we are today. I’m looking at you, Paul Ryan.

I don’t know, dear OP, what you think the FBI needs to be held accountable for. If it has overstepped its bounds then the president has the ability to rein them in, and he should do so by openly revealing what it is that they have done to earn your opprobrium. Trump hasn’t shown that to be the case. He merely accuses them of bias in an investigation that was started long before he became president because of unanimous findings by American intelligence agencies, and the right-wing propaganda machinery parrots that on cue for Trump’s supporters to swallow hook, line and sinker.

How audacious that is. We may have a president who is up to his eyeballs in corruption with a foreign power, and who used that relationship to his own advantage — financially and politically — perhaps for years, who by simply casting aspersions on the integrity of the people who have sworn to uphold justice throughout the Republic might just get away with it all.

And you thought Republicans were the supporters of law enforcement? I guess they are, when one of them k**ls a black person. When they investigate corruption among Republicans, then they are the enemy of the people.
