Late January to late March was a full lockdown... April to May was a semi lockdown... After that they only locked down targeted areas...

Understand... One case could lead to millions being locked down and an entire province being considered off limits...

Even China's own press releases says Beijing was NOT locked down early on...

Your "analogy" is like comparing apples and oranges. Breaking at an intersection is a law that if not obeyed could k**l the driver of the car and/or other drivers/pedestrians. What does that have to do with the break-down of an economy and unemployment??

If the first lockdown worked, people would not be getting sick and C-19 would have been contained and would not be a p******c any more. Why would we need another lockdown?

If the first lockdown did not work, people are still getting sick and C-19 did not become contained. Why would a second lockdown work?

Lockdowns don’t work. Anybody who believes they do is a delusional fool. What they do is kick the can down the road while taking a away people’s liberty and running the economy against the wall. The toll they have taken on human life and human rights has been incalculable. Increases in child abuse, suicide, and even heart attacks, are a result of mandatory stay-at-home orders issued by politicians who now rule by decree without any legislative or democratic due process. Small businesses have permanently closed by the thousands. Those poor owners are still responsible for the mortgages, rental contracts and taxes on their store properties - with no income! How do they DO that? As a result of lockdowns, tens of thousands of jobs have been lost....not temporarily lost - lost for good.

Lockdowns are not working now, and have never worked before - why should there be another one?
Your "analogy" is like comparing apples ... (show quote)

We were locked down.
One son lost his job.
The other got furloughed from his for five months.
Nothing was opened here but the grocery store and it's shelves were empty.
I understand people have started hoarding again and our shelves are empty again.

Yes. Same here.

Huh. Seems that I read they only locked down targeted, affected areas. Thought you said so several months back.

Did China lock down the entire nation?

The CDC is deceiving us. There is a difference between testing positive for C***d and becoming infected with it.
Epidemiologists and medical researchers all over the world are becoming alarmed over the flaws in the current tests. The test is so sensitive it detects v***l artifacts unrelated to C***d that reside in the human body long after an infection, such as the flu or even the common cold. Statistically there should be a certain number of tests returning a false positive, but from what the pros are saying the number of false positives they are getting is extraordinary.
The CDC is deceiving us. There is a difference bet... (show quote)

By design or? This whole thing feels so much like some kind of weird set up. I keep going back to the homeless populations in big cities, particularly the west coast. The people live on top of each other with very poor sanitation and little to no health care or nutrition. Why didnt this k**ler v***s decimate them?

And people were out shopping... Walking dogs... Essential workers galore...

I remember my friend in New York blogging about it... How empty the streets looked... Except the parks had people... And house parties... And taxis kept running...

Then there were the protesters...

Here nothing was open except for grocery stores and gas stations and drug stores. Short hours. All were encouraged to do no contact curb pick up. As far as walking, no one does that much in March in Chicago. Parks and forest preserves were closed. That being said, who knows what went on in the city, that's always a different world. Once the second week of April came you saw a lot of people walking. Mostly alone or in couples. But no where near other walkers. Cities are big petri dishes anyway, IMO, both physically and energetically.

Huh. I was here and locked down. The roads were empty. The stores, restaurants, etc. were closed. Children's playgrounds were closed. Perception is an interesting thing.

Yep. But the free world is rolling over and complying. Except Sweden. Whose numbers were similar to those that locked down, but didn't destroy their economy.

The libs will open the southern border and let everyone in here.
A food shortage is coming soon. The Biden Liberal supporters will see what they have spawned soon IMHO anyway... :-(
