The U.S.S. Constitution (Old Ironsides), as a combat vessel, carried 48,600 gallons of fresh water for her crew of 475 officers and men. This was sufficient to last six months of sustained operations at sea. She carried no evaporators (i.e. fresh water distillers).

However, let it be noted that according to her ship's log, "On July 27, 1798, the U.S.S. Constitution sailed from Boston with a full complement of 475 officers and men, 48,600 gallons of fresh water, 7,400 cannon shot, 11,600 pounds of black powder, and 79,400 gallons of rum ." Her mission: "To destroy and harass English shipping." Making Jamaica on 6 October, she took on 826 pounds of flour and 68,300 gallons of rum. Then she headed for the Azores, arriving there on 12 November.. She provisioned with 550 pounds of beef and 64,300 gallons of Portuguese wine. On 18 November, she set sail for England.

In the ensuing days, she defeated five British men-of-war ships, and captured and scuttled 12 English merchant ships, salvaging only the rum aboard each.

By 26 January, her powder and shot were exhausted. Nevertheless, although unarmed she made a night raid up the Firth of Clyde in Scotland .. Her landing party captured a whisky distillery and t***sferred 40,000 gallons of single malt Scotch aboard by dawn. Then she headed home. The U. S. S. Constitution arrived in Boston on 20 February 1799, with no cannon shot, no food, no powder, no rum, no wine, no whisky, and 38,600 gallons of water.

This is the time of year that Texas shows off it's colors.

The wildflowers have literally exploded this season and it really is something that you just have to see for yourself.

Me and the Angel left yesterday on our annual wildflower drive through the Texas hill country.

We left Comanche and drove through Brownwood to Brady and then on down to Fredericksburg.

All along the way it was as if we were subjects in a Van Gogh painting.

The bluebonnets are in full bloom and my angel couldn't be happier.

She can identify, by name, at least twenty different types of wildflowers.

But she tells me there are more than a thousand different species right here in our little neck of the woods.

Her two favorites are the bluebonnets and the Indian blankets.

As spectacular as the blooming flowers are, they don't compare to the smile and the glow on her face when she looks out across a field of dancing colors.

We drove on over to Georgetown where the red poppies are beginning to bloom.

We decided to spend the night here and continue our trek today and make it back home tonight.

So we're up and ready to hit the trail.

I'm taking a meandering route over to Brenham Texas because you can't go on a wildflower tour without driving up or down the magical "Wildflower Road".

So turn off your stupid TV.

I’m appalled to see the unaccompanied minors and am seriously concerned about their psychological health, there inability to speak our language plus our ability to feed them. Just where are 8,000 children going to go? Our Foster system was 400,000 in early 2000. According to statistics in Oct 2020 there are over 470,000 people/families hungry in the US compiled from from article in Good Housekeeping magazine. How/ what can this old lady do to protest. I’ve gotten via email in touch with representatives. I actually received a reply saying we are not in the office due to C***d **. Am I on the correct platform? I want to help, the new migrants are being piled next to on top of each other. Why is our government ignoring this situation.

At least two officers were injured Friday afternoon after a suspect rammed a vehicle into a barricade at a U.S. Capitol checkpoint.

The incident also reportedly led to at least one suspect being shot in the altercation.

The U.S. C*****l P****e on Friday afternoon tweeted, "CRITICAL INCIDENT: USCP is responding to the North Barricade vehicle across point along Independence Avenue for reports someone rammed a vehicle into two USCP officers. A suspect is in custody Both officers are injured. All three have been t***sported to the hospital."

What are the details?
According to a report from KWQC-TV, C*****l P****e said that the incident caused a lockdown at the U.S. Capitol complex, and that staff were told they could not enter or exit Capitol buildings.

C*****l P****e, according to the station, said that a suspect "rammed a vehicle into two USCP officers," and that a suspect had been taken into custody in connection with the apparent attack.

One officer was taken by police car to a local hospital for treatment, and the second was t***sported by emergency medical crews.

A source purporting to be close to the situation told The Daily Beast that the two officers are "seriously hurt."

MSNBC reported that the driver of the vehicle reportedly jumped out of the car armed with a knife after ramming the officers.

It is none of the governments business concerning the erosion of Christianity, or any other religion. We have no state religion in this country, and it is up to parents to teach their children about religion, not the government.
I think that its time for another reformation. Much of the Bible is not factually true. While I am Jewish, and used to attend synagogue every week before the p******c, I don't believe in the t***h of Genesis, and many other parts of the Bible. I think that the Bible should be rewritten for a generation that live in the age of science. The t***h of science will prevail over faith, if it ignores and/or denies science exists.
