The smartest thing America could do is concentrate its strategic interests here.

Big Mike, I very seldom disagree with your take on things but in this case unsure what you are specifically defining as our strategic interests. Would you elaborate on some of your thoughts? Actually nuclear annihilation every fifty years to me would seem adequate to control the demographics. For those of you that are going to be upset and think I am full of h**e; not so. You want to seduce them with love and political correctness go ahead but just understand one thing. I would not feel this way if they would just leave us alone. Live and let live; know what I mean. However, realistically that's not going to happen so what are we to do?

Instead of asking what causes crime, the better question is what is the root cause of poverty? The Bible states in Proverbs 10:4 “Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth”. There, I said it. I know it is not politically correct to call poor people lazy or to just state the facts. However, since Liberals want to use the events in Ferguson to focus on crime and poverty, I thought I would offer my analysis. Politicians and pundits have tried to invent new causes for crime and poverty. However, Ecclesiastes 1:9 states “The thing that has been—it is what will be again, and that which has been done is that which will be done again; and there is nothing new under the sun.” In other words, laziness has always been and always will be the root cause of poverty. Idle hands and fatherless homes are the root causes of crime.

Good article and I totally agree with said - root cause being laziness. My mother always told me "Idle hands are the Devils workshop". On another subject, as I read the link you gave it occurred to me that Kareem was doing his best to deflect from the fatherless scenario since he traveled all over this country for 20 seasons. Wonder how many so-called yard children he left fatherless during that time? Just a thought.

Come to think of it old man what's in Kansas they would be interested in taking over other than those missle silos? Isn't it about your bed time?

It's people like you that will be begging for help when they come but do not fret I will personally take them out for you right after they decapitate your sorry ass. You are a total disgrace to this country and the good people living here that have served honorably; we do not need scumbags like you using up valuable space. You serve no purpose.

If it insults you that I say you are from NY then I apologize. I simply asked what plan you would like to put on the table for discussion. Notice I did not ask r****d69 as from his past posts understand he does not have a thought of his own that would be worth discussing.

There is no doubt that the Govt has been getting more centralized and more authoritarian since around 1917. Wilson campaigned on the promise that he'd keep the Ss out of the European war, then jumped in. I guess he thought he was gonna reform the world "Make the world safe for democracy" i think he said. (As if his allies England and Russia were any more democratic then germany) But he MADE IT ILLEGAL TO CRITICIZE HIM OR HIS WAR. They kind of got away from that until Sept 11, when Bush became a de facto dictator. Claimed he had the right to torture and murder anyone he wanted to. And Obama does it too. "The land of the free and the home of the brave" is just a song lyric now i guess.
But i would not call the totalitarians of either Party"progressives". I suppose it's a matter of semantiiics but i think of "progressives" as being people *against* totalitarianism of either the Left or the Right.

The meaning of specific words are liquid meaning they continue to change. Yes, semantics perhaps but through time they have all changed. Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Libertarian, libertarians with a little "L" or a big "L"; you get the picture. However that subject is for another topic; this topic is dealing with problems in Washington. Any thoughts there?

What's your solution brainpan? Would really like to hear something constructive from you rather than insults. Seriously, got any ideas along that line; I'm really interested in hearing them. If you can't come up with anything perhaps you should ask your buddy r****d69. I've never seen anything constructive from him either. Must be a NY thing.

One of the problems I've discerned with the conservative movement in general is the tendency to lose itself in a forest of single issues rather than on a couple of the biggest ones that all could agree to. We have a huge row to hoe and the more fragmented we are the easier it will be for the g*******t/progressive/socialist forces to marginalize us. If we wish to reclaim the Republic our founders gave us I think the solution will come through local and state levels. Washington is a waste of time at the present.

Big Mike, I could not agree with you more. The last sentence says it all. In June of this year I initiated a Topic on taking back our government through the "Convention of States" by using Article Five. It got very little response and I sat and pondered , WHY? Then it hit me; most here on OPP use this as a social media where they can vent their frustrations and rather than spending quality time actually doing something that would effect a real change they would rather issue insults. Some would say we need immediate change and this will not accomplish that end; my answer to that is the progressives have been working since 1913 to get where they are today, it did not happen overnight and it won't be overturned overnight. Bottom line, most will not do anything but interact with insults and innuendoes because by helping correct the situation would take too much time and eliminate their reason for being here. Is my frustration showing?

Love your typical fear and h**e mongering. You seem to ignore the only relevant point: the 1st Amendment. But a question: how big a threat for close to 10 centuries has been the state of Islam? Might these "crazy terrorists" actually have a legitimate complaint? Though it seems unlikely that any of these dedicated extremists are now interested in a peaceful resolution, to be as they are precludes the likelihood, escalating violence or oppression of Muslims here contradicts American ideals and basic rights.

Like so many other useless rantings about Muslims that do not and apparently cannot answer how the US, with our 1st Amendment, can deal with the state of Islam, you only offer another platter of h**e. Sorry, I have had my fill.
Love your typical fear and h**e mongering. You see... (show quote)

I'm really tired of your peacenik ideology and could really care less about you having your fill. The time will come for you to take sides. I have drawn the line in the sand and unlike our leader if you step over my line I'll cut your f---ing foot off. To address your question on the 1st Amendment; For the most part they are not citizens so they do not have the same rights and those that happen to be citizens that choose the wrong side are t*****rs and will be treated as such. On the second question about threat posed by terrorists. Ten centuries ago the Oceans gave what is now called USA a protective barrier because the Camels couldn't swim that far. Times have changed and other methods of t***sportation have evolved that erases those barriers. Have you noticed that? Additionally, whether you have noticed or not the numbers of radicals are growing exponentially. I posted something on why that would happen about a year ago; go back and refresh your memory on that.
BTW, my platter is not filled with h**e but balanced with plans for survival. I fear nothing for myself but I have built a legacy that I want my children, grandchildren and now great grandchildren to enjoy and it makes me mad as Hell to think these r*****ds with their h**e are threatening that for them. So RUMY, directing your fill of h**e to them would be more appropriate in my humble opinion. However, I really don't think they will give a crap either. In conclusion, as I said earlier you (Rumitoid) will never get it and I gave up on you quite a while back. However, you still raise my ire from time to time and when you do I will respond. You have the option to ignore.

Nickolai, Your delusional and stupid, dangerous combination; have you not read the Koran. We are in their World here in the good old USA they intend to convert the world and eliminate the infidel. At one time we in America were protected by Two Oceans, not the case anymore and they are planning as we speak to bring the fight to our shores so you need to make up your mind where you want that battle fought. The last war on our land was The Civil War and I fear we have forgotten the devastation that brought to us then. Multiply that ten/hundred-fold due to todays weaponry and you might understand what I'm attempting to convey to you. I try to ignore your comments for the most part and feel you will ignore mine but hope that my comments resonate with some here because its coming and you and Rumitoid will understand what many of us were trying to warn you of. As I said earlier ISIS/ISIL has issued a challenge to our President, and he has responded by issuing a arrest warrant. I'm sure they are laughing their asses off.

Power is the only thing they understand and fear of total annihilation stopping the progression of Islamic caliph**e is their only concern. Rumy along with many others cannot get their mind wrapped around the idea of sacrificing ones self for the good of the ideology whose sole purpose is to rule the World. The challenge has been made, what do you think our Presidents response will be?

Because there is no accountability in this administration. Reflection of our leader; has he disclosed anything? We all know the answer to that. I realize it was a rhetorical question but I answered anyway.

Well you can believe it, it's true. He was won over while on assignment in the Far East earlier in his career. Then we have our President who has put a Muslim in every major position throughout his administration. You really want to be upset just do some research on that.

After I managed to decipher your coded message, I think I found what you were talking about. Your great Democrat Senate had 24 months to screw up everything Bush had managed to keep under control. If you are capable, check in search and find out when the Democrats took control of the Senate. It was in the 2006 e******n. So they actually took charge in January, 2007. So that made them having 24 months as being in control of the Senate.

Now go back and see what the unemployment was in January of 2007. Check and see what the price of gasoline was in January of 2007. Check and see what our National credit rating was in January of 2007. Carolyn, there are only two things you need to understand about Nickolai. One, that he joined OPP on April 1st and the jokes on us by having to endure his BS from then until now.
