No doubt you know our armed forces gets its share of Sad Sacks and Section 8s, Jake, and the Marines are not immune. The Marines look for "a few good men" but don't always get them. Every once in a while one of those grabasstic pieces of amphibian s**t manages to negotiate Marine boot camp yet never stops being a grabasstic piece of amphibian s**t. And, even though the Marines might hang on to a fk up, they don't assign these characters a critical MOS.

I served in the navy, Jake, and never had a problem with the Marines I served with, and though I wasn't a member of the Marine brotherhood, we got along very well. In fact, while I was attending Class A AT school, I had an affair with a BAM in the class. One day she and I went out into the Tennessee wilderness for some fun in the sun. Neither of us knew what poison ivy looked like. I think we depleted the PX supply of Calamine lotion. That was what you call a bonding experience.

Anyway, I can't figure lonewolf out, he is an enigma. I am well aware of what the motto of the Marines, Semper Fidelis, means - always faithful to God, country, Corps and each other. And all of us who served in the military swore the oath to protect and defend our constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Socialist Progressivism (the domestic enemy) is diametrically opposed to our constitution and American way of life and any Marine who embraces such an alien political philosophy has betrayed God, country, the Corps and his fellow Marines, and he has violated the oath. Guys like that aren't gonna get any Oorahs from me.

However, I reckon we should cut lonewolf some slack due to his obvious lack of education.

I listened to him going on and on about how good the economy was going to do in the 3rd and 4th quarters, which the majority of financial analysts are in agreement is going to get worse before it gets better...for reasons that cannot be changed except in the way Trump is headed which is to make them way worse than they were.

Trump as he was saying how good the economy was going to be, how strong, and how it was going to be better than ever next year, he kept saying something that is a tip to what he thinks is his ace in the hole to make that happen.

The economy has many different facets, and Trump apparently thinks it all depends on and is judged by the stock market. He has always been captivated by numbers, they are the thing he can point to and say look at these numbers, they are great, the best ever in the history of America.

The reason the economy is going to be further decimated is that the real and longer term effects of well over 30 million people being on unemployment, and untold millions more that aren't eligible but have no income haven't even been felt yet. The summer will tell the tale going into the fall as the hurt this country is really in starts slamming the country.

The stock market will respond in the predictable way...in another crash. Propping up the economy to make it stronger is going to be about helping people and tens of thousands of businesses. Trump and the GOP see only the stock market and large businesses that actually don't even need the help at all, they would and will survive this economic meltdown far better than people and small businesses will.

Trump said over and over in different ways, the economy will be great, we may need to put more into it, we have lots of ammunition, endless amounts of ammunition, it will be great.

He is talking about propping up the stock market if it reacts to the fact that the country is dying, both economically and literally. Trump has signed us up for hundreds of thousands more dead by fall and winter. People will be in the worst shape probably in our history, businesses and jobs will be in worse shape than they are right now...and trump and the GOP will be all about continuing to pump trillions more into large corporations that we don't need to help, and billions into people and smaller businesses that do need the help.

He said it, we will keep throwing endless "ammunition" at the economy, and he isn't talking about people. The GOP will give hundreds of billions to people and trillions to the largest businesses that don't need it.

Chilvalry: "Gallantry, courtesy and honor. The noble qualities a knight was supposed to have, such as courage and a readiness to help the weak."

Ask, would they wear a mask? Of course! No question. Honor and a readiness to help the weak over any thoughts of self. The courtesy of respecting others and their right not to be threatened by their fellow Americans careless behavior. The readiness to help the weak with pre-existing conditions by conforming to expert advice on social distancing and wearing a mask. The courage to resist the pressure of conforming to the views of Trump and the GOP, their party. Decency toward all.
