That comment may have something to do with why christians are seen as hypocritical talkers as opposed to devout walkers.

In my opinion nothing of the sort is happening: It may be that you see religion being slowly returned to the individual and out of the public square. Matthew's Gospel clearly instructs us to Practice our belief system privately with no fanfare, no evangelizing and no public displays. Our Founders sought to follow those instructions as they enshrined Separation of Church an State into our country's earliest mission statement. The Way to a Good Life is how we live it, not how we talk about it. Any devout person can see the absurdity of worrying about removal of religion from our country. If God is all around us, all through us, Firing or dimissing is out of the question. Can't be done.
