If we are not a Christian country, then why do so many of our laws(Bill of Rights, Constitution)have Judeo-Christian roots? Our laws give people of all faiths(even atheism is a faith) the right to choose and worship as their faith decrees.

Ever look further into those "Judeo-Christian roots"...they're all based of The Code of Hammurabi, which is Babylonian (btw, the folks we're screwing over for their oil are the descendants of the Babylonians)...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_of_Hammurabi

Nothing of the Judeo-Christian teachings are original to the Jews or the Christians...everything they taught they learned from earlier peoples.

You see, it's kinda like Christmas.

PS...Permafrost: you also made me realize that we don't always know the "details" in every story. However, I do have a problem when someone's cattle are being confiscated by the government because of turtles. Again though, it seems that is not the whole story. It still could have been worked out differently.

His cattle do not belong there, the Desert Tortoise does.

I have some rental properties, and occasionally have to evict a tenant, for various reasons. One had been living on a piece of my property for almost 7 years and all was fine, but, after a few years, he got strung out on meth and, in addition to almost always being late and/or short on his rent,he eventually just about burned down the neighborhood while trying to cook up a batch, and so I evicted him immediately. He refused to go, and it became a court matter...he explained to the judge that, because he'd been there so long, that I had no right to kick him out. Similar excuse from Bundy.

The judge didn't see things his way, and I understand he got the same judge some months later when he was tried for possession of quite a bit of "crank". Presumably, the judge remembered meeting him previously...

Surely it's not too much trouble to check the links posted ? It's ALL there. Do you have a mental block when it comes to barackhussein ?

No, working with livestock daily, I'm quite familiar with bovine by-products, and those posts are quite full.

Now, since I've given you a civil answer, perhaps you'll be adult enough to return the favor...seeing as how the Repuplicans have been trying everything, no matter how silly, to get our legally-elected President out of the White House, why do you think everything they've tried, thus far, has failed? ;-)

If he was really a "furrineer", how come the Braintrust of the GOP can't outsmart him? :-P

Think about it, son. :D

Hank Aaron is a national sports figure. He's being celebrated for his awesome achievement. In expressing his opinion about race and the Republicans he "offended" some people who have no idea of what he has gone through in this country--as an athlete and as a Black man. Who knows what happens with the president and attorney general when the cameras aren't rolling. Now they are all villafied. Maybe there is some t***h to the way r****m enters into politics? Maybe since Hammerin' Hank is more Ali than Joe Louis some people think he's "gettin' uppity"!? If the most accomplished African Americans are still treated like runaway s***es maybe it does say something about race in this great country. Let's not completely discount a person's experience because we disagree. There is obstruction, there is r****m---deal with it!

Why does he put so many inadequate people into office? The HHS secretary knew nothing about what her jobs was about but he put her in office to really screw up our health system.

Never belonged to any political party...recognized that no good would come of them very early on.

Glad you figured this out for yourself, assuming that you haven't thrown in with the Republicans, Tea Party (Republicanism at it's ugliest) or Libertarians (Republican Lite).

You need to wake up to what is happening in our country by two evil men. These men are anti-Christ. How can you be so blind as to what they are doing. When you wake up to what is really going on in this country it may be to late to do anything. Or are you one of the people in this country receiving all of the free stuff and don't want to see that end.

I assume you're addressing me (try using the "quote" tab in the future)...No, they are not the Ant-Christ, he lost in the 2012 e******n, actually :-P

And, no, while neither are saints, neither are they truly evil...somewhat corrupt, but there are very few in office who are not.

And, no, the Pavlovian response, taught to you by those who do your thinking for you, is not valid...everything I've ever had, or ever will, comes from my hard work. Never been on unemployment, never been on welfare, never will.

Can't you guys think about ANYTHING except r****m??? In my book you and some others don't seem to know a lot of words beyond r****t, r****m, etc. You are obsessive over it, and I suspect you will be obsessive until the day you die. I think it would be wise to see a counselor for your obsession.

PS. And don't "Republican" me. I'm not one. I did what you should do: I left my party because it was rotten. You're too chicken to do the same with YOUR lousy, rotten, corrupt party.

And they still can't figure out why they lost in 2008 and 2012, and why 2016 and 2020 won't be good for the Republican party, either.

Pretty much my thinking, as well.

There is no bad, unjust or unConstitutional laws involved in this matter. He screwed up, pushed his luck, and now cannot any longer.

And, yes, if I get a speeding ticket, I pay it. Haven't gotten one in about 30 years, though, as it's just not worth paying (last I checked) $105.50 just to get somewhere a few minutes faster.
