I don't want to stir the waters too much as I value your and RossD's views and desires. However, I also value honesty, and in all honesty I really disagree with you re the "middle of the road" approach to anything. Middle of the road automatically lessens the best approach. I feel that the BEST solution is ALWAYS the correct answer, not some middle of the road "it's the best we can do". My view on compromise is that you come in with one idea how to solve the problem. I come in with another view to solve the problem. We have a method for measuring those two views, and if we must, we even ask others for their opinions. If the best of both plans can be agreed upon as being the best, but the rest of the plans cannot be agreed upon, we either go with one or the other OR we together re-write the remainder of the plan.

That is NOT what happens in our government. The pubbies introduce a bill, the dems automatically diss it, and historically the pubbies accept the loss.............THAT has been happening for decades.............and the average republican h**es that - we don't want to live under l*****t RULE. For a change the Republicans are fighting back for their very principles on which they were founded. For once the conservative Republicans in government are actually REPRESENTING a huge portion of their e*****rate. Those who do less will LOSE their next e******n.

As to being polite on posts, I believe most of us feel we are at war, verbal war as we have no other power than that of speech. The warrior who fights politely in this day and age will be slaughtered, right or wrong. No one is going to call me a cunt, a whore, an asshole, a teabagger and walk away unscathed. Make no mistake, l*****ts have called me those things (and worse) on these types of forums. Just because their leaders have taught them that this is how to fight does not mean they get to automatically win. We in the public KNOW that. If our leaders insist on misleading the herds, WE WILL attempt to do the leading. People who deny observable, notable, documented FACTS need to be told they are believing lies instead of their eyes and brains.
Some people don't even know how to communicate without hatred - those would be the militant left, and to a lesser degree the militant right.

The Gov. wants me to buy a new house, car, appliances, state required auto ins., gasoline, food, property taxes, health care ins., hold a steady job, pay state and federal taxes and take care of my family.
I've worked all my life to be a good citizen and take care of these obligations and have raised three very responsible children.
Now I see my Gov. reduce a full time workers hours by 25%(29 hours vs 40 hours) reducing wages by25% as well, remove insurance coverage that's been sufficient for the family for many years, forcing new premiums by 40% to 300% and mandating a tax on those who find it impossible to afford this coverage. One must ask "just who in hell is representing me?".
It does not take a mental giant to see there is a master plan in the works here. Not to the advantage of the common public . The elite have set this country up for failure. Changes need to be made in a big way.
If we allow this to happen we will never be able to make our own decisions again. It must stop now!!!
We need to preserve our freedoms and clean the house and Senate, support and maintain our constitutional rights and oust those working against it. This is partially our fault for allowing it to happen in the first place.
Pay attention and let's stop this destruction of our way of life.

The federal government has made it easier than ever to borrow money for higher education - saddling a generation with crushing debts and inflating a bubble that could bring down the economy

The 2010 bill mostly eliminated private banks and lenders from the federal student-loan business. Henceforth, the government would lend college money directly to students...

This is absurd, something needs to be done. there need be one domino to fall into place for the thing to collapse
the american people don't seem to do anything about being spied on by the NRS, harassed by the IRS, being bled money by obamacare, and there is a congress and a house of reps that do not care for the poor or middle class.
the NSA has even been targeting our allies with tracking equipment. i.e germany, france ect.
the only thing the people need one domino to fall.
remember ww1? it took the death of Franz Ferdinand(one man) in order for all the dominoes to fall into a full fledged war.
another great example is the movie "v for vendetta"
only one person needs to do something stupid, or k**l someone else, start a r**t or assassinate someone.
even our allies are becoming concerned.
we are weak on the world stage.
the collapse of the dollar is a very real threat
if china decides to pull all of the debt out of our treasury in the form of gold the dollar would collapse IMMEDIATELY.
the average american does not truly care that we on the verge of collapse. they are too busy with the football game. our children are too focused on the next gen video game or iPhone, or useless gossip.
as a very recent HS student, believe me when I tell you the educational system in the cities are teach values that are very left wing. teachers are teaching evolution, they no longer give parents the option to opt their children out of it, they teach a******n is a positive thing.
A GPA is nothing more than a fabricated number that got there in every student from c***ting and half-assed work. every part of that of that is a fact, everyone in every class I have ever taken has lied and c***ted to get a GPA that is their ticket to college that leads them down a road of a near impossible job market.
all those degrees, including my own, will be wasted. I have checked the numbers and if I continue with my plan of going to Washington state university, I will be in student debt forever, I might have to take that risk to be able to even get a decent job.
its bulls**t.
Fuck Obama, Fuck the politicians, Fuck the government.
but we have no one to blame but ourselves. we v**ed them in.
does the average man in this day fear the government? Yes! should he? NEVER!
:x
"When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty."-Thomas Jefferson.

so what are your thoughts? how far will it go? will we resolve this? will martial law be declared? will the dollar collapse?
you tell me.

I was really was just kidding. something I said I would no longer do. But I do not see how we can make it. The situation and the trends keep working against us. Sorry I know the situation I am in; the Devil properly has a special place in hell for me. Right next to the fire. So I better stick around here on earth a while.

it is all right, forgive you for indirectly wishing my death

on a serious note, I agree that s**t is going down hill, and our representatives are doing the opposite of helping us.

We now have more people on some type of government benefit program then that are working and that gap is just going to get wider. There will be fewer job the average person can perform. Soon the few that are working will revolt, the food stamp program will run out of money, no one growing food. no money to buy it even if it was available; uncontrollable chaos will pursue. We can not pay off our national debt, the "Federal Reserve" will not be able to prop us up with fiat money forever. Consequently we are doomed to die of hunger and depredation. I think It would be better to precipitate a nuclear war , k**l off all but perhaps 100 people that have no knowledge of technology. Folks out of 100,00 people only one may stand a chance in this system. So lets just blow the god damn thing up. Every night I am going to start praying for nuclear war. Then we let the remaining 100 people restart the thing back as Neanderthal(Fancy name for caveman) If any of you very high IQ conservative or brilliant liberal want to call me stupid go ahead, but I am too damn stupid to know just how damn stupid I am. At least in boot camp that is my drill instructor told me. So you would be just wasting your breath.

hahahaha!
silly catfish!
the minimum amount of humans alive in order for the human race to survive in its current form genetically is 2500+ human beings to create a hospitable gene pool that could be sustainable even under post apocalyptic conditions (not considering radiation of course).
technically we could go all the way down to two human beings with PERFECT genes although in-breeding would occur. (due to perfect genes there would be no side effects at birth)
if we were to have 100 people with no knowledge of modern technology in a post apocalyptic scenario we would see all of the last of the human race die from starvation or disease. under the stress of the post apocalyptic world, breeding would not flourish until those left could sustain themselves if at all. those left would not be able to effectively teach the young until they could find land they could sustain themselves on, thus we would be ultimately go back down to square one.
the nomadic era of the human race would occur, history would repeat itself, bad parts included.
+ why would you k**l billions of innocent people?
because of corrupt politicians and a bad economy?
please get this in your head.
consider this: if a nuclear war were to genuinely occur do to your praying, how would you feel?

dear creators and maintainers of this site, can we get a bit more user friendly navigational tools to better maneuver though this site? although I am considered among my peers to be rather technologically inclined, i seem to be having trouble navigating through multiple-page topics and finding my own posts in each individual "watched topic" I am also having trouble navigating "newest" and "active topics" due to the many seemingly unorganized topics i must browse in order to find interesting topics.
please consider this.
thank you

One of the first defenses by people like you is the tired old seven-words, “Guns don’t k**l people. People do.” If your intent here was to develop a straw man argument asserting that removing guns from the equation will not prevent people k*****g people with some other means - your argument would have some credibility. But that isn’t the case.

Guns k**l more people quicker and easier.

planes full of people crashing straight into the ground k**l more people quicker and easier than guns. should we ban planes? no! should we have better trained pilots? Yes!
see my point?
