Thanks, yes, I know that. Not just Saddam but those in his government. It was a Sunni hierarchy ruled with an iron fist. It just makes no sense though, to try and conquer a Shiite nation with Shiite soldiers. Saddam had his hands full keeping control at home. I understand religious differences, they abound in Christianity. What I don't understand is why they're so willing to k**l each other over them. I know what the Koran/Hadiths teach, but still.....
Hey, I do not understand either but have no problem with them k*****g each other and as long as they leave us out of it I'm for letting them go for it. However it does not seem to be ISIS's intent to allow us that privilege. So my plan would be to tell them exactly when we would be there in force to finish this thing and challenge them to get all recruits available they could so it would be a fair fight. Once they had assembled everyone they could then I would have one B-52 fly over and so long Caliph**e. Who says we can't win this with only Air Power. Think they would get the message then? Can you tell I'm tired of this crap, what's the use of having power and not using it. Do we really need to wait until they have one and use it first before we use ours just to be politically correct. Our current Policy does not seem to be working so well so lets get on with it. Call Iran's leaders and tell them to stop enrichment immediately or we will turn them into a glass factory; Syria will see that and fall in line. Next we tell that little punk in North Korea to give up his reign of terror and the next time he fires a rocket we will level his country. Now, that leaves Putin; we sit down at the table and tell him that between the two of us we can destroy this place we call Earth and unless he changes his ways that is where he's heading now so lets live in peace or in the event he chooses otherwise and survives the holocaust he can be in charge of the charred Earth no one wants. What's it going to be?
Now the only problem with my plan is that you have to have a President that doesn't keep drawing Red lines in the sand so I don't have a clue what to do for the next two years. I guess just send troops into combat but don't call it combat and only give them one bullet and have Rules of Engagement where they can't use that bullet. Yeh, that going to work for sure.
