My neighbor some 50 years ago insisted living at home while attending a local college, campus was a zoo. Her parents did not object after she explained what was going on at campus.

Other families were not so understanding, never listening to their children regarding the decline in our education system. Of course, times had greatly changed since our grandparents attending college in the Great Depression and the wild times of the 1960s. Sex, drugs, rock'n roll, one literally feared for their life. Public schooling needs to be changed, merged with industry to provide apprenticeships. College is not the only answer to a higher education or higher standard of living. Somewhere the integrity of conducting business needs to be filtered in, along with moral values and ethics.
