My ex-sister-in-law, Susan Whitman-Seidenzahl, was on the Pacific Grove City Council when Clint was Mayor of Carmel. I have several pictures of her with him.

Also, my son lived in Monterrey for several years, and remembers him as a dirty old man who tried to pick up my son's lady, several times. She was a looker. He was in his 70's, at the time. She was in her early 30's. Both my son and Susan liked him, otherwise. Ben, my son, almost was ready to punch Eastwood out. Ben was in his mid-20's, and a golden-glove quality boxer. He did not act, thankfully.

My son and his Aunt have since moved from the Monterrey Peninsula area. 8-)

I loved this area! But it began to change a lot in the early 80's as I was leaving for Turkey(Cesspool of the world-literally).

Well, I once used part of that line -- long ago, working two jobs, going to school at night, and three kids at home, one of those jobs included deliveries in the wee hours of the morning. I got out to make my first delivery and this guy who had no business being there started to slowly follow me. We played this game of him following and my turning to see where he was three times. I was tired, it was 3:30 in the morning. Finally, I got out my aluminum baseball bat that makes a really good sound when it hits concrete and just yelled at him, "well c'mon down, make my day -- what'll it be -- the baseball bat or the mace I carry!!" He slunk off. Think he decided he didn't want to take on someone crazy as I sounded!!

Your stature has increased to "godly" proportions-you truly are a woman after my heart.
Nothing turns me on more than a woman with a really big gun(please make sure Uncle knows the complete context of this message will you?). LOL(that is called-CYA) Do you know that term?

Uncle and I will take you to the NRA Museum. There are several guns from movies. They have all types of weapons from various wars.
Thank you, and I have been there twice on my visits to DC-The Library of Congress is still on my bucket list!

Oh, my husband would be jealous to hear that one!! I think he has every Clint Eastwood movie out there.

Eastwood's line in Magnum Force when he's talking to the "Scumbag" who kidnapped that school bus full of kids,"...as this is a 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, you have to asked yourself, do I feel lucky? Well, do you punk?" This is on of the classic movie lines of all time!

Clint Eastwood, huh? It is out of one of the 'Dirty Harry' movies, but don't know which one. 8-)

Magnum Force, I am a huge Eastwood fan. When I was stationed at the Monterrey Presidio, my buddies and I went into his restaurant one afternoon in uniform after duty. We were having lunch and libations when he came over to our table and asked if he could sit down for a while with us. It was Clint, what do you do, say no? Anyway, after about an hour, he got up and left. As we went to pay for our meals, the waiter told us that Mr. Eastwood had bought all our lunches and drinks. That was cool and a day I will never forget!

How long will this business opportunity that takes you away be for -- in time? Is it one of those permanent moves? I use Skype. My grandchildren are between 1 - 8.

It will be semi-permanent. I will move to Virginia, and the wife will keep the house going in Oregon. Job will last from 2-4 years, maybe longer. I will commute as often as I can, but that is just not the same. It is one of those things that the pro's outweighed the con's, but there is still a down side to it, if you can understand that.

Sounds sorta like a paraphrase of Robert DeNiro's line out of 'Taxi-Driver', "You talking to me?" 8-)

When i'm feeling real sassing with the "boss", i'll say, "Do you feel lucky punk? Well, do you punk?". Man, that one really gets things moving quickly, pans included!! LOL

A perfect opening to explain marriage. There is the just married LOVE, hearts and flowers spinning over your head like a cartoon. Next you get to love. The second love is the one requiring true commitment and WORK.

AuntiE and Uncle E both get their way. It depends on what the issue is. We are both open to hearing varying sides before deciding. We both know there are issues NOT worth the angst to disrupt life with. I know when the size 14 double EE hits the floor, figuratively, all discussion is over. Only once have I gone back to an issue where the floor was hit by "big foot". I waited six months, did a written business presentation showing the financial reasons for changing his position. It actually worked.

My wife and I are the "do it and see if they scream type" when it comes to pushing buttons, but when it comes to real decisions and we don't agree, we weigh the pro's and con's, then the financial impact(if any), then we look at time investment, taking away from family, grandkids, etc... After all this, if we still can't agree, we table it for a while and come back to it at a later date to see if we have changed our minds or not.
But, for us with 6 kids and 14 grandkids, everything is pretty much centered on family and making sure that THEY have what is needed before WE do anything Crazy!
This move is really beginning to tear at my heart, because of being so far away in case something happens. And the Grandkids are another "heart" matter! I have a special connection with a couple of the real little ones(7 months and 3 years)that my not being here will be extra hard on them.
But, this is an opportunity that only comes around once in a while, and at my age, those are becoming less and less frequent.

That sounds like pretty good advice for our legislators in D.C., in the states, and we on the OPP. Compromise usually does work more smoothly in the long run, for eveybody. As I follow that, in my marriage and Family relationships, it does beg the question as to why legislators can't.

I won't bring politics into the thread again, but your post made we wonder.

It is comprised of logic-something in very short supply in DC!
