What amazes me, we can find these kids before anything happens. We can't find the terrorists before bombs happen. Perhaps, our government is spying on the wrong people.

These are children. Children often say things such as: "I'll k**l you." Meaningless threats. Now on the other hand organized terror cells can actually pull it off. Yet, we only discover them after they have k**led Americans. What's wrong with this picture?

We down graded our military; we out sourced our military weapons' parts; we're reached the edge of bankruptcy; and now, we antagonize the Russians and the Chinese.

I don't really care whose fault it is. Between both parties, they have destroyed the middle class, on whose backs this nation was built. Now we face bankruptcy.

We treat our military as though they are all expendable, now let's piss off Russia and China. Now that we have stretched our military to its' breaking point with stupid conflicts in the Middle East, we take on Russia and China. Would someone please explain the logic behind this?

Although I am protective of baby animals (and even adult ones) I've never had the inclination to speak to them as if they had less intelligence than I. Help me out. Why do you think this response occurs in some?

I can't really help you out. I have never spoken in baby talk to any of my animals. I have never used baby talk with the children either. I would guess it is a sign of endearment. I go more with mutual respect.

My dog might put up with that but I would never try it with Mr. Kitty. The cat demands respect from his humans or silk shirts get shredded.

My husband was stationed in Texas for two years. I loved the people. Everyone was nice to me. I live in Georgia and the outright lies told about Southerners are infuriating.

My reply to if you don't like Texas do the people there a favor and stay out.

Comparative religions is a subject for older kids. It is good thing to understand other beliefs and cultures. However, no school should be presenting any religion as either good or bad. It would appear to me this teacher in his/her attempt to disassociate Islam from the situation has stepped over the line.

If I were the Mom, I would be asking that in the context of history terms relating to my faith be taught as well and if not perhaps I would look into my legal rights.. The teacher is one sneaky little twerp. History should be just the facts. No wondering off into political correctness. I guess American children are never to young to be the victims of propaganda. I hope this mother explained the feelings of her family in regard to 9/11 to her child.

The Sears situation just proves one thing to me. We as Americans need to become more forceful in demanding our right to freedom of speech. I find quite a few things disrespectful. That does not give me the right to force my opinion upon any one else. We should take a lesson from how the other side works. Contacting Sears and asking why they are bowing to political blackmail. I bet a lot more Christians shop at Sears than Muslims. Start a boycott of their stores.

I was at Temple last night. Our leader for the evening made an interesting observation. Before our meeting started we were all complaining about the condition of this country. So the discussion for the evening became: Do you practice what you profess to believe or just complain about things?

Of course some members pointed out all the things we do to help our community. We are a small group of people and can only do so much or words to to that effect. Our discussions can become quite heated at times.

One of our Elders pointed out the simple fact that sometimes just being kind and understanding does more good than we realize. Most of the time one act of kindness can inspire that person to also repeat the process. Judging people or their circumstances is not our place.

We all agreed to greet everyone with a smile. When we feel we have given enough, we will give a little more. One of the basic principles of our faith is live simply. You'd be surprised how much of what we feel we can not live without is totally unnecessary. We care for our families first but our doors must be open to all who come in peace. We will really listen and try to come up with an answer when people reach out to us. Of course being human, we will make mistakes.

Our faith is the faith of our ancestors which of course means, you must either be born to it or have one of the families sponsor you. We don't seek out members. We respect all religions as we feel they are all paths to God. Faith by example is the primary rule.

I love our Elders one of which is 104 years old. That woman has a love of life and her fellow human beings. The things she has seen in her life is amazing. Her best advice to me was never give up when you believe you are right. Fight for what you believe in no matter what anyone else tells you or how hopeless others say a change is.

Sorry if I rambled a bit. New MS meds are making concentrating a little difficult. I just wanted to share what was an inspiration to me. .

 Being a Veteran myself, we have earned every penny we get and then some!!!! This angers me to no end, the way this Government treats us and our Active Duty.

I believe it angers most Americans. I grew up on military bases and later married an officer and a gentleman. Most people do not realize how shabby we treat the men and women who put their life on the line.

What angers me the most are these so called f**g waving patriots who take more and more from the active military as well as the Vets in the name of a balanced budget. If we really can't afford to take care of our military, cut the damn foreign aid. You can't buy friends or allies.

America's presence in the Middle east is deeply involved, & complicated! One of the reasons we are all "alive today", is the efforts of the Bush administration, to persue our enemies, right in their own back yards!

If they made "money" doing that, i guess you could call that "pay for play"......yup.....they got salaries for doing their jobs! Got any defenses for "K**lery", & her culture of corruption?...................:O{{{{{

Money made off the blood of our young people, is unacceptable, to me. Bush accomplished nothing in the Middle East but destabilizing the region even further and of course making his and the Cheney's family rich. As to Hilary, don't back her never will.

We keep jumping into situations, we are ignorant of. We don't understand the culture. We never make things better. If we spent more time on domestic problems and less on policing the world, we might be stronger today. The Middle East will never know peace because they do not wish to. They enjoy the fight.

American politicians only care about the military when they are up for re-e******n or have a photo opt. It doesn't surprise me that McCain is leading the charge to cut benefits. The man's a low life.

We will never know all the t***h behind the Vietnam War. Our government has to much to loose by telling the t***h. As far as McCain goes he owes his entire career to the American people's belief in rewarding service. Just like all rats he is owned and probably has a great deal about his "service" he needs to keep buried.

These so called entitlement benefits must end according to our greedy government. Perhaps, if the Pentagon would return the money stolen from the budget, we could afford to care for our vets, our active military, as well as our citizens.

When this government started its' war on the poor, that was just the first step in ending all aid to citizens. Does it really surprise anyone that vets would be on the list of things we can't afford? Even though these people earned every benefit and more by putting their life on the line, they do not matter once their service is over. They like all citizens in this country are expendable.

People paid into Social Security and Medicare for years weather they wanted to or not. Now our leaders wish to destroy both, leaving some of our elderly with nothing. Greed rules this country. The only question we should be asking is why.

Much of what Putin says is t***h. The U.S. is trying to police the world. Terrorist are terrorist and we should have learned by now, none can be trusted. Our so called freedom fighters become tomorrow's dictators.

This whole Syrian mess comes down to an agenda on both Russia and the U.S.'s part to control the region and more importantly the resources of the region. Putin wants to keep his puppet in charge and the U.S. wants to place its' puppet in charge. One of the largest natural gas deposits in the world will bring much power to whichever country controls the puppet. If you then can run a pipeline through the Ukraine, well enough said.

No one can win a nuclear war. What frightens me is the thought on the part of any nation that it can use this power without consequences. Once began nuclear destruction of most of the world will follow. We don't seem to have a problem with nuclear weapons as long as it is our allies who have them. Strange how our allies become more intrusive with each power they possess.

So the Donald will throw the Constitution out the window? Freedom of religion will become freedom to practice only one religion? What is the difference in this stance and the Islamic stance? I do not want Trump or any other politician choosing my faith. Therefore, I do not have the right to choose an others.

How will you feel, if he succeeds and the next President decides Christianity is to powerful and must be destroyed? History has taught us, if we allow the destruction of one faith, we can expect a destruction of all. It is a double edged sword. This government does not have the right to shut down any house of worship.

We can't declare war on any religion. Personally, I think some Mosques are more political than religious. Then all faiths have zealots. Perhaps, if our intelligence community did its' job we would not have this problem.

That statement should scare the hell out of Americans. First freedom of religion then what? That sounds more like a dictator than a President.

Much of this has "slipped out" in bits and pieces. In other threads I mentioned what negative thoughts I have about Netanyahu and especially his appearance to our Congress. I did see a small reference to his comment on being able to handle our Congress and it was phrased in denigration. Much like "we can handle these Goyems."

I have also stated (not too long ago) my question as to just when Israel will be satisfied. Will the genocide in Gaza be sufficient? Which country will they be "victimized" by next? I did state that their prime interest in the U.S.A. is so that they can draw us into their wars by utilizing our military.

Because that is all we have to choose from. I personally won't v**e for Hilary not because of a politically driven investigation. More because I feel you can't take money from billionaire corporations and not give a little something back.

The only candidate I can see that just says what he thinks is Bernie Sanders. He knows his stand on somethings are not very popular but he tells the t***h about his agenda. I'm hoping for an Independent to announce but with it costing millions just to get on the b****t, most honest men can't afford to run without selling out.

Regan had us in the cocaine business, to finance a c**p no one wanted to get involved with. Clinton lied so damn much I can't even remember half of them. Obama promised health care for every citizen then gave the insurance lobby one hell of a gift. The way I see it, liars are all we have to choose from. Most of the Republicans promised the do something about open borders and then funded the program.

I don't think we have had one honest man in office in my lifetime. So we choose the lesser of the two evils and get screwed by the one party which exists in this country.

Just my opinion, but Hilary, no way. To be President of the United States one must be a good liar. In my opinion, she is not qualified to run this country.

Brian,

We do not always agree but quite a few times, your words have caused me to reexamine some of my opinions. That may not sound like much but when you can make a grumpy old German grandmother even ponder the possibility she could be wrong it is an accomplishment.

Words have power and ideals can not be k**led. You may have reached many more people than you realize. Not everyone responds to a post, doesn't mean it didn't give them food for thought. So, please keep posting. You never know who might be in need of your words.

When compared to the policy we have, all of my employees have opted to stay with policy furnished by the company. We have better insurance than any of the market place companies offer. Of course the price has gone up considerably. However, the deductibles are lower and more treatments are covered.
