HAH!! Gotta luv it! The Dems are terrified at Bernie becoming their nominee and are doing everything in their power to stop him. Meanwhile juggernaut Trump knows that between him and Bernie, it's no contest! He'll steamroll Bernie in the general e******n and likely win at least 49 states.
Ain't it grand to be a Trump supporter today?! Can I get an 'Amen'?

The economy must be in great shape

That's what you get when you elect a successful, world class businessman, builder, and land developer to run your ship of state. He's accustomed to encountering all types of bureaucratic obstacles to his building projects and has always had to find ways around them, through them, over them, under them, etc. Remember the favorite words of a bureaucrat are always: "You can't do that!"
Contrast Trump's experience with that of his predecessor. Obama was a community organizer. A successful community organizer essentially sows discontent and grievances in his target audience, and then channels that discontent in the desired direction. It normally takes the form of a payment to the target audience, aka a shakedown. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson know all about how to extort millions from businesses for supposed grievances, while they become immensely wealthy in the process. Obama was more subtle in that he'd channel that resentment into v**es for himself. But beyond getting the v**es he had no clue as to what to do once he got into office. In fact all his cures were straight out of Saul Alinsky's playbook and made the economy worse.

Do you find within the Oath any mention of the country. You do, however, read allegiance to the Constitution and there amidst it also stands your President, the one you savage because you're governed by blind hatred. Once you take this oath when is the expiration date? Why do Conservaties understand you Progressives are a domestic enemy; a cancer that if left to grow will k**l the host?

You claim the country needs real Americans and I would agree. You may be native born but you are not a native son. Your progressive philosophy and agenda cannot be reconciled as anything except destructive to bodies, souls and nations. You're so consumed and overpowered by evil you turn everything good, sacred and pure into filth. And, if you truly believe the nonsense you posted above then you're also not too bright.

Other than those things, have a nice day.

Bingo!!! Permie believes that each and every bureaucratic underling under the President doesn’t have to follow the president’s directives! Wrong!!!
They swear to follow the constitution AND the president!!!
If they wanna follow wh**ever drumbeat they hear, they’re free to run for President and AFTER winning it, they can follow wh**ever drumbeat they hear.

Russia is looking to help Trump win in 2020, e******n security official told lawmakers
By Jim Acosta, Zachary Cohen, Dana Bash and Jeremy Herb, CNN

Updated 8:30 AM ET, Fri February 21, 2020

The intelligence community's top e******n security official delivered a briefing to lawmakers last week warning them that the intelligence community believes Russia is already taking steps to interfere in the 2020 e******n with the goal of helping President Donald Trump win, three sources familiar with the matter tell CNN.

The briefers said Russia does favor Trump, but that helping Trump wasn't the only thing they were trying to do as it was also designed to raise questions about the integrity of the e******ns process, the source added.
Trump became irate in a meeting with outgoing acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire last week for allowing the information about Russia's meddling efforts to be included in the briefing, a White House official said.

"What the (intelligence community) sees as reporting the t***h -- simple statement of facts in evidence without judgment -- the President sees as undermining his legitimacy," the former official told CNN.
On Wednesday, Trump announced he was naming Richard Grenell, a staunch loyalist and current US ambassador to Germany, as acting DNI despite him not having experience in intelligence. A source familiar with internal discussions said White House officials saw Grenell as a good stopgap solution for the acting DNI vacancy as time was running out on Maguire's time in the position and because of Trump's dissatisfaction with Maguire due to the intelligence briefing.
Trump confirmed in a tweet Thursday night he plans to nominate a permanent DNI soon, and floated Rep. Doug Collins of Georgia, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee and a top congressional ally, for the position when speaking to reporters on Air Force One.

Hmmm, lemme see if I’m getting this right. Russia is supposedly supporting Trump over his likely opponent in the general e******n, Bernie Sanders. A man who honeymooned in Russia and never saw a socialist country he didn’t like whether it was Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.
That doesn’t pass the smell test.
As far as Trump firing any underlings who aren’t 100% on board with his policies, I say wonderful!!
McGuire should know better than to revive Russia’s supposed meddling in a P**********l e******n after the country just underwent an exhausting 3 year figurative colonoscopy of Trump on the very same issue. The fact that CNN was the outlet that McGuire went to should tell you all you need to know about his loyalties to Trump.
I say good riddance to bad rubbish. Trump needs people around him that support him 100%. Considering all the good he’s been able to do with backstabbers all around him, think of all the wonderful things he’ll be able to accomplish with loyalists surrounding him!!
MAGA!!, KAG!! Trump 2020!

Why should the government fund an independent newspaper?

Exactly. It’s not like today’s servicemen can’t get their news online. Or through other printed sources. I’m waiting for Trump to announce he’s cutting all government funding for NPR and PBS. Two lefty radio stations that would cease to exist if they’re not shored up by taxpayer funding.

Fallen Oak, I see that you joined OPP about 5 months ago. Welcome.
Kevyn, a die-hard Never Trumper with a severe case of TDS is one of the resident OPP libs who is forever advancing government solutions to non existent problems. But when someone responds with obvious problems to their proposed solutions, they simply propose other solutions. Like building aqueducts to bring water to arid areas. Just a minor detail. Libs have no faith in the freedom of individuals or their ingenuity to solve real problems. Sad.

Thinking people around the world wonder how a loud mouthed criminal huckster became the 45th President and now researchers may have discovered part of the reason. Consuming a western diet for as little as one week can subtly impair brain function and encourage slim and otherwise healthy young people to overeat, scientists claim.

Researchers found that after seven days on a high fat, high added sugar diet, volunteers in their 20s scored worse on memory tests and found junk food more desirable immediately after they had finished a meal.

The finding suggests that a western diet makes it harder for people to regulate their appetite, and points to disruption in a brain region called the hippocampus as the possible cause.

“After a week on a western-style diet, palatable food such as snacks and chocolate becomes more desirable when you are full,” said Richard Stevenson, a professor of psychology at Macquarie University in Sydney. “This will make it harder to resist, leading you to eat more, which in turn generates more damage to the hippocampus and a vicious cycle of overeating.”

Previous work in animals has shown that junk food impairs the hippocampus, a brain region involved in memory and appetite control. It is unclear why, but one idea is that the hippocampus normally blocks or weakens memories about food when we are full, so looking at a cake does not flood the mind with memories of how nice cake can be. “When the hippocampus functions less efficiently, you do get this flood of memories, and so food is more appealing,” Stevenson said.

To investigate how the western diet affects humans, the scientists recruited 110 lean and healthy students, aged 20 to 23, who generally ate a good diet. Half were randomly assigned to a control group who ate their normal diet for a week. The other half were put on a high energy western-style diet, which featured a generous intake of Belgian waffles and fast food.

“Understanding the impact of a western diet on brain function is a matter of urgency given the current food climate,” she said. “This research has provided data to support detrimental effects on both memory and appetite control after just one week of an energy-dense diet and may suggest a link between poor diet and impairment of the hippocampus, a key memory and appetite-associated brain region. The mechanisms at work remain to be elucidated and will require further research with the application of more sophisticated neuroimaging methods.”

So in a nutshell, many Trump supporters are that way simply because they have eaten themselves stupid.
Thinking people around the world wonder how a loud... (show quote)

Typical of lib solutions. Find (actually manufacture) a problem. Then propose a solution. And when that solution, doesn't work, propose another solution to cure their first solution which didn't work. And when their second solution doesn't work,..... and on and on.

I for one, don't believe those egghead scientists. Just like I didn't believe them when they predicted the g****l w*****g, oops, c*****e c****e crisis.

I’m being serious here. Not sure I get the whole human right and healthcare to line up. Does that make me responsible for my neighbors healthcare?

I hear ya. My gf, an english professor is a huge proponent of free health care for everyone. Saying it doesn't mean that everyone gets free health care. Unless you're prepared to ens***e huge proportions of the populations to pay for adequate health care for all the ailments of patients. Alternatively it could simply mean what it does in c*******t countries or countries with socialized medicine, that every patient gets a free band-aid - no matter what their ailment. That's about the only way it's remotely affordable.
God given, inalienable rights, as described in the constitution and bill of rights, never take from anyone else. A right to free speech, to assemble, to practice your own religion, to bear arms, etc., etc. never take anything from anyone else. A right to free health care most definitely takes from others and is really the first step in enslaving the people.
