"I'm glad you put this one out people need to know." Your right, people do need to know, but they need to know the t***h, not what someone THINKS is the t***h. Neither one of you back anything you said up with proof of anything other then what YOU say. I h**e to tell you this, but what YOU think is not always in our Constitution the way YOU think it is. I would take a wild guess and say that both of you need to read the Constitution and study it a little more before you state something as fact.

This nation was created to escape the tyranny of enforced religion and when our Constitution was drawn up, Freedom of Religion and the Separation of Church and State were clearly declared as law.

So when those with strongly held religious beliefs push their religious views in the political conversations that ensue on this site, they are contravening the very Constitution they should be defending, and worse, are making fools of themselves.

That this nation was founded on Biblical values is undeniable, but then so are the Islamic nations. The Koran was all written by the year 632 and it was all based on the Old Testament of the Bible, except that the writings of Mohammed replaced those of Jesus for the New Testament part.

In Islamic nations, the horrible punishments for religious offenses as prescribed in the Old Testament are still carried out, and the people live under an absolute religious tyranny. If we allow religious views to replace our values as put into law in our Constitution, we'll end up just like the Muslims.

Using the positive Biblical values expressed in our Constitution in no way validates any demand to adhere to Christian or any other religion's tenets in our laws.

Don't give me any of that crap, I worked for Boeing and quit because of the useless no-loads that the unions protected. Then I experienced the same thing working for the USPS where I saw a druggie come in and threaten his wife with a knife in the P.O. (both worked there) and he kept his job because they were forced to send him to drug rehab by the unions. The day he came back to work 2 of us quit. Shame also because a couple months later he took a knife to a gun fight with the police and lost big time.

The plain historical fact is that unions created the middle class in America. Statistics clearly show that as unions increased, so did the income of American citizens who came to have a livable wages. And now, as union membership has decreased, salaries and wages have stagnated . . . even decreased in real dollars when adjusted for inflation. USA needs a strong middle class in order for the democracy and free enterprise system to be successful. Big business funds anti-union propaganda because they want to share fewer profits with workers . . . another historical fact. So they characterize union members as c*******ts and thugs. In fact, when unions were being formed, it was the companies who hired thugs to beat up union members. Sadly, many shallow-thinking middle class folks drink the anti-union cool aid propaganda and work against their own best personal interest and the interests of the middle class. Instead of just repeating what you hear, try something new: read history and study the facts.

"Ten members of the Ironworkers Local 401 in Philadelphia were indicted for the 2012 arson by “allegedly participating in a conspiracy to commit criminal acts of extortion, arson, destruction of property, and assault in order to force construction contractors to hire union ironworkers,” the statement released by the FBI reads. “Eight of the 10 individuals named in the indictment are charged with conspiring to use Ironworkers Local 401 as an enterprise to commit criminal acts. … The indictment details incidents in which the defendants threatened or assaulted contractors or their employees and damaged construction equipment and job sites as part of a concerted effort to force contractors to hire and pay Local 401 workers, even when those workers performed no function. Among the criminal acts set forth in the indictment is the December 2012 arson of a Quaker Meetinghouse under construction in Philadelphia.”

One again our great unions show us just how far they are willing to go to help people and make sure they are using the right people for the right job. One more case for a Right to Work state.

This reminds me of a paper mill I went to one day to install one of our systems, but since I was nonunion, I could not pick up a screw driver. I had to have a guy from IBEW do the wiring for me. This guy was so smart, that had to I tell him three times how to hook up a wire and he still got it wrong. A simply wire going from TB-1 to TB-4 and he could not get it right if it k**led him. What took him all morning to mess up, took me less then an hour to undo and get right while he was at lunch. What I normally did by myself took 5 different union and 5 different people to do. Most places just had to have a guy with me, but I still did the work, but these guys would not let me work. The foreman actually thought I was going to have an easy time of it, because they would actually do the work.
