Last week, The Wall Street Journal revealed that members of the intelligence community – part of the deep state, the unseen government within the government that does not change with e******ns – now have acquired so much data on everyone in America that they can selectively reveal it to reward their friends and harm their foes. Their principal foe today is the president of the United States.

Liberty is rarely lost overnight. The wall of tyranny often begins with benign building blocks of safety – each one lying on top of a predecessor – eventually collectively constituting an impediment to the exercise of free choices by free people, often not even recognized until it is too late.

The chickens have come home to roost. In our misguided efforts to keep the country safe, we have neglected to keep it free. We have enabled a deep state to become powerful enough to control a powerful president. We have placed so much data and so much power in the hands of unelected, unaccountable, opaque spies that they can use it as they see fit -- even to the point of committing federal felonies. Now some have boasted that they can manipulate and thus control the president of the United States by selectively revealing and concealing what they know about anyone, including the president himself.

This is a perilous state of affairs, brought about by the maniacal passion for surveillance spawned under George W. Bush and perfected under Barack Obama -- all with utter indifference to the widespread constitutional violations and permanent destruction of personal liberties. This is not the government the Framers gave us. But it is one far more dangerous to human freedom than the one from which they seceded in 1776.

I, too, found the article to be an amazing one. The one question I have re it is "WHY DID NOT THE WRITER MENTION OUR FINE GOVERNMENT AGENCY, THE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION WHO HAS PASSED ON ALL OF THESE DRUGS THAT I CONCUR CAN BE QUITE DANGEROUS?" I place far more blame on the FDA than on anyone else. I see the FDA as a worthless and DANGEROUS piece of flotsam that we spend millions of dollars on. When will Americans WAKE UP?????? I know,I know......Americans will NEVER wake up - it's just too easy to go with the flow.

Here is a staggering statistic from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): “More than 25 percent of college students have been diagnosed or treated by a professional for a mental health condition within the past year.”

Let that sink in. 25 percent.

Colleges are basically clinics. Psychiatric centers.

Colleges have been taken over. A soft c**p has occurred, out of view.

You want to know where all this victim-oriented “I’m triggered” and “I need a safe space” comes from? You just found it.

It’s a short step from being diagnosed with a mental disorder to adopting the role of being super-sensitive to “triggers.” You could call it a self-fulfilling prophecy. “If I have a mental disorder, then I’m a victim, and then what people say and do around me is going disturb me…and I’ll prove it.”

THE T***SLATION OF THESE (mental)PROBLEMS INTO SO-CALLED MENTAL DISORDERS IS SCIENTIFIC F**ERY AND FRAUD. AND THE EFFCTS OF THE DRUGS GIVEN TO TREAT THESE “CONDITIONS” ARE TOXIC AND DAMAGING.

THE MERE DIAGNOSIS OF A MENTAL DISORDER SETS THE STAGE FOR A PERSON TO VIEW HIMSELF AS A VICTIM. HE CAN OPT FOR BIZARRE ALTERNATIVES, SUCH AS “BEING TRIGGERED” AND “NEEDING SAFE SPACES.”

In a very real sense, the entire profession of psychiatry is a mind-control operation.

It has invaded college campuses. It has spread across all sectors of the country and the world.

It is eating societies and cultures from the inside.

Please don't put the cost of addressing C*****e C****e before me, such would certainly cost more now since we did nothing when the price was cheaper. Yes, the Sun has a huge effect on our weather. When I put a verified fact before the Climate deniers (I mean a fact I personally verified as a relevant fact) I receive "brain-dead" belittling comments, to me means such is a fact the deniers simply refuse to recognize a fact as relevant.
I have an old friend who visits the Arctic annually and has showed me pictures of so much less ice than there use to be. I trust him to tell me the t***h. The deniers go back to the belittling comments.
One person told me he expects the trees to clean-up the air and refuses to even listen to a different view like the number of people are more now that yesteryear, the number of trees are less than they were yesteryear. More pollution and less cleaning the air.
How much are YOU (all of you) willing to pay to breath fresh & clean air? Without air, you die quite quickly. How much would you pay to prevent yourself from dying at a younger age?
Sorry if what I wrote upsets you. I'm one of those vets from yesteryear, Nam. The country didn't want to go to war so they called it a "Police Action", so someone prove to me where our govt. v**ed and approved the "Police Action" was a "War"? A LIE was created stating the "Gulf of Tonkin" where U.S. warships were fired upon, NEVER-HAPPENED. So the media supported the false word of the govt. and I was one of thousands believing in protecting our country seeing the best we had to offer "bleed-out" in that Godforsaken country. A book written by McNamara specifically admitted the LIE of our govt. about the "Gulf of Tonkin". People died protesting the "Police Action" many more died fighting the same "Police Action". Over 58 thousand died (and yes I've read names on the wall in D.C. of people I knew) and those who made money from our blood slept well at night. Treason? You had better believe it.
So I do NOT believe as credible anything our govt. says.
"Everything we say/do is a direct result of our own personal ethics." When a person supports a liar is a liar him/herself. That is what I believe! U.S. society needs "Ethics" not more interesting LIES.

I do sincerely appreciate your service in Nam. I know, or at least have an idea, how horrible it was, and the return to the states was just as horrible, thanks to the people who are promoting "c*****e c****e" and who dissed the vets who had had NOTHING TO DO with STARTING THE WAR. You do not have to teach me that our government is our worst enemy........I have said so myself many times over the past 50 years. I apologize I had not gotten back to you earlier, but just today I learned that my notifications had been TURNED OFF AT OPP. (I think management does not love me.) I served in the Army Nurse Corps during NAM, but was never sent overseas. While in service, I married a Marine who was already out and in the US Border Patrol....he later retired as an Immigration Criminal Investigator. We were married for 42 years when he passed away.....on Pearl Harbor Day, of all times. I currently live with a man who served in the Army. I am a retired R.N., quite conservative, and leaning toward anarchy (no ruler) thinking.

That said, let me address your c*****e c****e comments. I, and all scientists, believe in c*****e c****e. It has been going on since the beginning of time. It is NORMAL. It happens. No matter what we do or do not do, we will have c*****e c****e. Trust me -this is TRUE. What started all this arguing in reality was that some people wanted to receive government funding for alternate energy production: wind mills, etc......banish coal, banish this, banish that (so that THEIR businesses would make big bucks). Our politicians and media -all l*****ts- joined in the fun. They didn't care who they hurt or how much it cost the taxpayers (victims of government FORCE) - or how many people they scared half to death. As to the ice missing that you referenced.......I am not surprised, but I am surprised that some people truly believe humans are causing the less ice, affecting the climate. I do not believe humans cause global changes because decades ago I learned that c*****e c****e is NORMAL. That is how we lost the dinosaurs, the behemoths of pre-civilization times......they froze to death, or at least many of them did. During part of their time, the land was plush with greenery, but freezes happened with no human on the face of the earth. Don't forget that our rivers and many canyons were cut from humongous ice glaciers sliding south centuries ago across America. Also remember that one batch of ice is not the total indicators. No humans there to make the ice melt....nature did it, just like nature acts today.

From an article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2016/11/24/scott-shackleton-logbooks-prove-antarctic-sea-ice-not-shrinking/
"Antarctic sea ice had barely changed from where it was 100 years ago, scientists have discovered, after poring over the logbooks of great polar explorers such as Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton.

Experts were concerned that ice at the South Pole had declined significantly since the 1950s, which they feared was driven by man-made c*****e c****e.

But new analysis suggests that conditions are now virtually identical to when the Terra Nova and Endurance sailed to the continent in the early 1900s, indicating that declines are part of a natural cycle and not the result of g****l w*****g."

I do not have time at present to research enough to change your mind, but I DO suggest that if it concerns you a great deal, study more science than that put out by special interest groups, such as the political left and incompetent "scientists". Thanks for your input, and, again, thank you more than I can say how much I appreciate your service. IF JUST ONCE AMERICANS COULD WORK TOGETHER RATHER THAN FIGHT EACH OTHER, OUR NATION COULD BE GREAT ONCE AGAIN.......assuming we could ban politicians from our meetings. ;-)

President Obama, in his final days in office, did everything he could to make war with Russia an inevitability. This is not just a tactic to confound Donald Trump. There is reason to believe that the powers backing Hillary Clinton had it in their sights to push the US and Russia into a war that would likely destroy both nations.

But why? Experts at the Heritage Foundation who have been studying g*******t politics for decades believe that strong nation-states like the US and Russia stand in the way of the goal of creating a one-world government- and the only thing that can destroy a global superpower is another global superpower.

At present, almost every respectable commentator believes that a Clinton presidency would have made war with Russia an absolute certainty. So it would seem that such a war is a big item on the laundry list of someone with g*******t interests.

Today, sources suggest that even Trump’s candidacy for the office of the president may have been arranged by Establishment powers. The pro-Hillary Washington Establishment considered him to be a straw man who could never win, a joke that would set a clear path to victory for Clinton.

But now that their plan has backfired and he has won, they are forced to carry on with the same narrative from the campaign and their tactics are getting easier and easier to spot. This is why leading Democrats appear to be wild-eyed and desperate.

But while the Democratic Party sinks beneath the miasma of its own lies, they are not just a lot of sore losers. Several former Washington insiders, including Roger Stone, have said that Donald Trump’s life may be in danger.

In Woodrow Wilson’s book, The New Freedom, published in 1913 he wrote: “An invisible empire has been set up above the forms of democracy. […] We know that something intervenes between the people of the United States and the control of their affairs at Washington. It is not the people who have been ruling of late. […] Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know there is a power somewhere so organized, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”

He is speaking about the structures that animate the mainstream media today and the political establishment in Washington that backed Clinton.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt once famously said, “In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.” Even John F. Kennedy spoke out against the dangers of secret societies that he perceived as being pervasive in Washington and a threat to democracy.

All of this is conjecture, based on circumstantial evidence. But the amount of evidence is enormous and it all points in the same direction suggested by Roosevelt and Wilson. If it is true, that there was a massive conspiracy to elect Trump as controlled opposition it means that there is an even greater power organized around Donald Trump.

That power is the people- united by Trump’s opposition to political correctness and the selling out of the American Dream- the hard-working men and women of the vastly underestimated “fly-over states” who v**ed him into office.

It pleases me to know that old folks can talk tough. They can do that because they have faith in themselves, a necessity in today's world where half the population is braindead. And when they were young, they probably WERE tough. One thing the political left is good at is elevating the testosterone in all decent people.......when they attack us verbally we respond. When wimps are attacked, they whine. L*****ts are wimps who talk big. I've never known a conservative who was wimp. In a few days, barring unforeseen circumstances, DJT will become the 45th president of the United States and have the opportunity to prove that the minority opinion of Americans was right. I have very little faith that he can do the job but great hope that he can. These are very turbulent times, wars and rumors of war. No one can envy his position. What I find most troubling is his seeming inability to control himself at 3AM on twitter. This bizarre disposition to use tweets as policy and forum for the world's most powerful leader of the world should give anyone pause. Be that as it may, and perhaps just put it down as an innocent or even planned quirk, it is time to give him a chance. Out of respect for the office and the future of America.

On 1/20, Inauguration Day, we are not directly celebrating Trump's (marginal) victory but our Democratic Process. Although he lost the popular v**e by the widest margin in our nation's history, he won by OUR process and is OUR president. He is due respect and honor along with our process. His e******n is undisputed. And that brings me to the reason for this thread. Despite the fact that I have been on OPP one of his worst and most consistent critics, it was more like fun for me. I definitely believed there was a just and true cause behind my words, no f**e news or game playing, but this is just OPP and not a world stage. The Left's behavior about attending the Inauguration has me a little sick and, yes, ashamed. I know I did not have any influence over people attending or not, yet my attacks denote the same attitude as those who refuse to attend. Seriously, if I were invited or could afford it, I would cheer and applaud for Trump. There is the 1st Amendment and I am not saying those who refused to attend or will be protesting are exactly wrong, however, America is the melting pot and has always been the symbol of hope for the world. I am so pleased that you assume responsibility for yourself, unlike most other people who want Trump dead for no reason whatsoever. You see the problem the political left has and it saddens you....and you spoke with the grace good Americans try to speak with. What we are experiencing, Dr. Dross, is a c**ps d'état which is defined as TREASON. Most of us on the right who supported Trump all the way KNEW the c**ps was forming, tried to get people to understand, and while many, many could see it as true, too many could not. What we are dealing with is not merely hatred and spite. What we are dealing with is a well formed c**ps d'état to take our government down, not because the t*****rs have a better plan, but merely because they want to be dictators of a true collectivist tyrannical government that demands no moral behavior.

C*****e-c****e-fight cost: $100,000,000,000,000
'To reduce temperature by a grand total of 3/10 of 1 degree' by the end of the century

G****l w*****g has become a huge industry these days, with c*****e-c****e entrepreneurs like former Vice President Al Gore cashing in big, as Bloomberg estimated his worth several years ago at $200 million plus, after an asset total of $1.7 million while he was running for president.

Governments are spending big, billions at a time. And doesn’t everyone feel the increasing costs of energy and products?

But a new estimate about what it will cost the world’s citizens to reduce the world’s temperature by the end of the century by a “grand total of three tenths of one degree” is a stunner: $100 trillion.

That’s $100,000,000,000,000.00.

Enough to make 100 million people millionaires.

The calculation comes from Danish statistician Dr. Bjorn Lomborg, the head of the Copenhagen Consensus Center, by way of officials with Climate Depot.

There, Lomborg states, “We will spend at least one hundred trillion dollars in order to reduce the temperature by the end of the century by a grand total of three tenths of one degree – the equivalent of postponing warming by less than four years.”

He explained, “That is using the U.N.’s own climate prediction model.”

The total is bigger than the world’s gross domestic product.

He warned that, “If the U.S. delivers for the whole century on … President Obama’s very ambitious rhetoric, it would postpone g****l w*****g by about eight months at the end of the cenutry. But here is the biggest problem: These miniscule benefits do not come free – quite the contrary. The cost of the U.N. Paris climate pact is like to run 1 to 2 trillion dollars every year.”

That’s compared to the U.S. annual budget of under $4 trillion.
