I didn't hear DJ say that "just by taking them home with him" declassifies the docs. Could you post a link to that statement please. Nothing personal but I spent 2 + years listening to Democrats proclaim he was in collusion with Russia and swaring there was "irrefutable" evidence, of which turned out to be another lefty lie.

Here's the differece. Trump was the President of the United States with the legal right to access and control when he took possession of the documents believing that he had the right to take them with him as such. As a Senator, Joe had no legal right to have them outside a SKIF and/or Gov secured location to begin with. He stole them!
