Thank you. Please give your thanks and honors to my brothers and sisters that didn't come home. Gave their lives for the f**g and country that now disrespects the blood they gave. I see their faces everyday and I just remember the happy times. So young.

Tim Tebow has signed a one year contract to play tight end for The Jacksonville Jaguars. Colin Kaepernick has not played in the NFL since 2016. Stephen A. Smith of ESPN decided to edify us with what he thinks is the reason; that good old reliable – r****m. The problem is the two cases are far from identical.

Colin Kaepernick had a meteoric career culminated by a very good but insufficient performance in a narrow loss for The San Francisco 49ers against The Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII in February 2013.. He became the most feared quarterback in the NFL but several seasons later, his performance was slipping and he fell from a QBR (Adjusted Quarterback Rating) of 73.7 to 43.7. It was around this time that he began his protest kneeling against social injustice and police brutality.

That protest expanded to other NFL players and to other professional sports players. NFL viewership slid by 8% and Kaepernick was released by San Francisco. There was legal action and an undisclosed settlement. Since then, Kaepernick has tried to sign on with other teams with no success.

Tim Tebow by contrast played during three NFL seasons. In one, he took his team to the playoffs but his performance was spotty. But he grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and played for Urban Meyer the new Jaguars coach when they were at The University of Florida. He has a loyal following and will fill the stadium.

Kaepernick may have generated support from other players but he has also generated a lot of opposition. Teams are businesses and have to consider the bottom line and Kaepernick is liable to draw opposition demonstrators. Teams are justified in viewing him skeptically.

Kaepernick should have thought about these things as possible consequences. He’s stuck with the results. It ain't r****m. It's the bottom line.

I used to love NFL, really like SEC better. Started following Pittsburg bout 68. When all the keeling started I was let's see what happens. But when Tomlin dissed the only Vet on the team that refused to kneel, it was over. Have not watched NFL since. This has nothing to do with color. As you say its business and talent. I spent thirty-eight years of my life, been on missions all over the world and survived two wars. To come home and see my beloved country being destroyed by sniffling little parasites that spout their injustice, but have a good dinner and sleep cozy in their warm beds. If they h**e America as much as they say they should go and live in some of the hell holes I've been in. Let them truly see what life outside of America really is like. Then come back and preach to me.

What does MSM have to do with it? Facts are facts. Again throw something against the wall maybe it will stick. What's your solution? Defund the Police? How has that worked out in the cities that have tried it.

But let's not restrict guns in any way shape or form, because those who need guns to 'protect' themselves, or is it to feel manly?

And maybe rob a store or k**l a cop.

We CAN ban assault rifles in the next 90 days. All we have to do is point a few at the anti-a******n protesters outside of Planned Parenthood offices, and POOF.

Did you read how you got bashed for your last comments on guns? What do classify an assault rifle? AR 15? No army in the world has fielded that rifle. In Iraq we carried a M16A1 for 9 months, in Afghanistan we carried a M4 for 9 months. Both saved my platoon more than once. Those are assault weapons. So you're saying that those like mind people as yourself should arm AR 15's and confront innocent people? Are you going to lead them? Do you know how to lock and load? Have you ever fired a gun? Just go ahead with your ideas, what do you think will happen? Have you ever shot a person? Could you really pull the trigger? War is one thing but innocent people protesting "their God given right" what they see as an injustice is another. I hope you can live with it, because I live with it everyday.

I live in the county, if something comes down it may take law thirty minutes or more to get here. Got twenty acres to tend, running fence line, cutting dead trees, tending my garden, wh**ever needs to be done. With woods all around, rattlesnakes and copperheads I carry a 38. Almost had a copperhead hit me a month ago. It's in snake heaven now. I never leave the house with my weapons. So you live your life and let me live mine. I'm doing what I need to do to survive, hope your doing the same.

C.S. Lewis Via Townhall
We now have an intelligentsia which, though very small, is very useful to the cause of Hell.” -C.S. Lewis, The Screwtape Letters

A masterful piece of religious prose disguised as satire, C.S. Lewis’s The Screwtape Letters is a series of messages from senior devil Screwtape to his protégé Wormwood on how best to corrupt mortals. Originally released during World War II, its tight 175 pages provide charming, timeless wisdom.

In an addendum released shortly before the author’s death in 1963 – Screwtape Proposes a Toast – Lewis pivots from dispensing universal wisdom to directly criticizing social trends of his day, trends which have gone from mere whispers on college campuses 60 years ago to become orthodoxy with the power of law today. Reading it today, it feels like the author was more prophet than professor.

In the 15-page essay – full text available here – the devil Screwtape outlines how the term democracy can be warped into destroying excellence, first in the halls of education then to society at large to make sure everyone stays “equal.”

“Democracy is the word with which you must lead them by the nose,” Screwtape tells his fellow devils. “The basic principle of the new education is to be that dunces and idlers must not be made to feel inferior to intelligent and industrious pupils. That would be ‘undemocratic.’”

Screwtape espouses the “significant benefits” of “ungrading” decades before Brown University ever led this race to the bottom, saying:

“At universities, examinations must be framed so that nearly all the students get good marks. Entrance examinations must be framed so that all, or nearly all, citizens can go to universities, whether they have any power (or wish) to profit by higher education or not.”

Easy to see echoes of Screwtape in the demands of progressive demagogues, like when Bernie Sanders insisted that everyone should go to college so we have “the best-educated workforce in the world” – willfully ignoring that an education void of rigor has no value at all. Screwtape all but uses the word “triggered!” to describe children in self-esteem first, outcomes last schools.

“Children who are fit to proceed to a higher class may be artificially kept back, because the others would get a trauma — Beelzebub, what a useful word! — by being left behind.”

Screwtape must be grinning at headlines about public schools eliminating gifted programs, knowing how much this hurts the segment of society most likely to build it up: the middle class.

“The removal of this class, besides linking up with the abolition of education, is, fortunately, an inevitable effect of the spirit that says I'm as good as you. This was, after all, the social group which gave to the humans the overwhelming majority of their scientists, physicians, philosophers, theologians, poets, artists, composers, architects, jurists, and administrators. If ever there were a bunch of stalks that needed their tops knocked off, it was surely they.”

While liberal media outlets have been bemoaning the end of the middle class in America, they have been complicit in it by advancing agendas in the name of equity. A nation of dunces is far easier to rule over – especially a generation of snowflakes who were raised by teachers who thought gold stars for everyone are more important than As and Fs for some. Screwtape continues, with relevant hyperlinks inserted:

“For ‘democracy’ or the ‘democratic spirit’ (diabolical sense) leads to a nation without great men, a nation mainly of subliterates, full of the cocksureness which flattery breeds on ignorance, and quick to snarl or whimper at the first sign of criticism. And that is what Hell wishes every democratic people to be. For when such a nation meets in conflict a nation where children have been made to work at school, where talent is placed in high posts, and where the ignorant mass are allowed no say at all in public affairs, only one result is possible.”

Screwtape hangs a lantern on all of this, saying, “It is our function to encourage the behaviour, the manners, the whole attitude of mind, which democracies naturally like and enjoy, because these are the very things which, if unchecked, will destroy democracy.”

Easy to see the echoes of this in the right to assemble having, irrefutably, descended into mob rule. Screwtape even notes that hell has “philological experts” intent on the “corruption of human language” – apparently hell has internships for l*****t reporters who describe mob violence as “peaceful protests.”

Screwtape’s whole toast is worth a read, and shouldn’t take more than half an hour, concluding with a beautiful throwaway line that Lewis couldn’t possibly have framed more perfectly:

“The great sinners seem easier to catch. But then they are incalculable. After you have played them for seventy years, the Enemy may snatch them from your claws in the seventy-first. … They are, if things take the wrong turn, as ready to defy the social pressures around them for the Enemy's sake as they were to defy them for ours. It is in some ways more troublesome to track and swat an evasive wasp than to shoot, at close range, a wild elephant. But the elephant is more troublesome if you miss.”

Single-minded contrariness goes very quickly from vice to virtue depending on where it is aimed. The fact that the Republican symbol is the elephant is mere icing on the proverbial cake.

Texas has had more than it's fair share of disaster relief funding and national guard help...but do we see the state that wants to secede from the union stepping up to show that it doesn't need federal help every time it gets hammered by acts of god? Not hardly.

Here's how a president for all responds in terms of timely and responsive federal emergency status. One can only think about how a trump style democrat president would act, Texas doesn't support him, they support trump, screw them, let them deal with there own little climate storms since they don't believe in g****l w*****g anyway.

What you're saying is that because Texas is a red state they don't deserve federal assistance? I have an aunt that lives in Texas. If she is blue or red, because she lives in Texas she should die. So much for unity. Have you ever been to Texas? I've worked there and met good people. Have you ever gotten out of your little bubble? My job at the time took me to a lot of states. Each different with different customs and traits, but all Americans. My years in the Army took me on missions all over the globe. Each with their own customs, traits and believes. But all human deserving help when needed. Texans are a different breed, independent with a love for this country. None that deserve to be left to die over politics.

No doubt you do... did you know it is said or thought a yellow butterfly symbolizes, represent a new life in many cultures. They also represent long life, good health, good fortune, and honest prosperity. Gold is yellow and golden or yellow butterflies represent wealth and well-being. A yellow or golden butterfly also symbolizes a “new life”, a t***sformation or a rebirth... Perhaps she letting you know her rebirth has come...

Likewise blue butterfly is often thought to have special meaning and symbolism for those lucky enough to see one. Although seeing a blue butterfly is not a common experience... Butterflies are also popularly thought to symbolize a person's essence, or soul, either past, present or future. The color blue in a butterfly is often thought to symbolize joy, color or a change in luck. Sometimes a blue butterfly is viewed as a wish granter... A Dad would be that wish granter~~~ as I see it anyway. ✨🙏✨

Thank you for that information. So many people go through life and never try to understand or see the beauty in nature. Nature if we are willing to observe and learn from can open an insight into God's creation.

I’m sorry to read of your angels passing, yet, I am sure she watches over you and family... She has not left you, she has just grown deeper within you... Love always remains...

This is at least how I feel in loosing my husband few years back at the ripe age of 46... He, too, left me a magnificent son to sustain me in losing the love of my life..

We are extremely blessed in them... Now if he would just get busy giving me a grandchild....😊💞💞
