Conveniently Forgotten Facts. This was known a long time ago but has been forgotten by most people

Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that a fellow black panther named Alex Rackley needed to die. Rackley was suspected of disloyalty. Rackley was first tied to a chair. Once safely immobilized, his friends tortured him for hours by, among other things, pouring boiling water on him.

When they got tired of torturing Rackley, Black Panther member, Warren Kimbro took Rackley outside and put a bullet in his head. Rackley's body was later found floating in a river about 25 miles north of New Haven, Connecticut.

Perhaps at this point you're curious as to what happened to these Black Panthers?

In 1977, that's only eight years later, only one of the k**lers was still in jail.

The shooter, Warren Kimbro, managed to get a scholarship to Harvard and became good friends with none other than Al Gore. He later became an assistant dean at an Eastern Connecticut State College.Isn't that something!!!
As a '60s radical you can pump a bullet into someone's head and a few years later, in the same state, you can become an assistant college dean!Only in America!!!
Erica Huggins was the woman who served the Panthers by boiling the water for Mr. Rackley's torture .. Some years later Ms. Huggins was elected to a California School Board.

How in the world do you think these k**lers got off so easily?

Maybe it was in some part due to the efforts of two people who came to the defense of the Panthers.

These two people actually went so far as to shut down Yale University with demonstrations in defense of the accused Black Panthers during their trial.

One of these people was none other than Bill Lan Lee. Mr. Lee, or Mr. Lan Lee, as the case may be, isn't a college dean. He isn't a member of a California School Board. He is now head of the United States Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, appointed by none other than Bill Clinton.

O.K., so who was the other Panther defender? Is this other notable Panther defender now a school board member? Is this other Panther apologist now an assistant college dean? No, neither!

The other Panther defender was, like Lee, a radical law student at Yale University at the time. She is now known as The "smartest woman in the world." She is none other than the Democratic senator from the State of New York---- our former First Lady, the incredible Hillary Rodham Clinton.

And now, as Paul Harvey said; "You know the rest of the story".

This deserves the widest possible press.

Also remember it, when, she runs for President!!

It seems you should understand Medicare implementation and funding before you go too far in your comparisons.
Medicare is/has been funded by a specific tax deducted from all workers paycheck. It has been in effect so long that people benefiting from it now paid the "premiums" (paycheck deductions) all their lives, then, when they passed a certain age, the government administered "insurance" started paying (partially) for the medical care costs. All persons involved were treated equally, (except the "premiums" were higher for the persons with higher wages.)
At the time Medicare was implemented, it was a viable, "pay for itself" system as there was about 1 retiree for 7 persons paying into the system. (Today, the ratio is closer to 1 retiree for every 3 persons paying into the system), It is no longer a self sustaining system; changes need to be made which our political "leaders" are ignoring because it might hurt their political careers.
The ACA is more of a very poor and unfair "wealth re-distribution" system than it is a viable health insurance system. (Not a health CARE system but a health insurance system where the government has complete control of all aspects of all citizen's health care).
It also is unaffordable and has a very detrimental effect on jobs and job creation which at this time should be this administrations primary focus.

2014 is coming. The clowns all must go. I don't know what happened with Peter King he has definitely gone off the rails. Hey NY get rid of this bozo. They go to DC and become someone entirely different. It is time to hold their feet to the fire. We have allowed these people to become tyrants. We now know who they are let us all show them the door. I think the biggest fool if we can even qualify anymore my v**e goes to McCain. SC, Tx. Tenn., Ark., you have the power to do it. Why Az. isn't doing a recall of both senators I cannot for the life of me figure out. I believe GOD has sent us a very clear message Wake up people before you lose it all.

DeeDee-big difference between Medicare and ACA. Medicare was designed initially for Seniors only (it has morphed into something else) which is a much smaller group than what the ACA affects. Also, the majority of Americans do not want the ACA. They do not want the government to tell them what coverage they need and what price they have to pay. We are not yet a Socialist country although under this president we are headed in that direction. You can love him all you want but he is definitely bad for America. So you came from Canada, eh? Wondered about the Indians, have had a lot of friends off the rez. from high school buddy to lady married to a good friend.. I think native Americans have the worst llife this country can ever create, worst than any black, Hispanic or 3rd world immigrant..Also, not much PC, but I think the best term is from Canada, "The First People"..I signed on to this forum and found that most of us have the same concerns but differ in the cause and the solution. Gov spending and Gun control, lot of others but the post could go all day if I start..Wide reading? Works for me, like to see others try it...
